The price was amazing and the location is amazing right next to the highway and I few minutes away from midtown and downtown.
there is not overnight security...I say this because when the morning staff leaves, certain guests do whatever they want.plus no cameras in the halls of each floor.
The location was great, the hotel
The staff could’ve been a little more chipper & welcoming to guest entering. I wasn’t greeted & he hardly made eye contact when speaking .
The price got it for on the weekend
Smell of smoke in the hallway
Really nothing
The beds were dropping in the middle ended up with my mother rolling against me all night and the place was un-clean. The key cards didn't want to work had to go back 3 times to get them to work with in an 10 hour stay.
Location
No microwave or Air
Originally, we liked the value. This was our third time to stay in this hotel. Each time before the staff was friendly and quickly took care of any problems that appeared in the room, like the tv remote not working.
This time, however, all first three floors REEKED of cigarette smoke, and it is illegal in the state of Tennessee for hotels to allow smoking in their rooms. You could tell the hotel allowed this to happen freely, due to the amount of the cigarette smell pouring forth through the hallway and how heavy the stench was. It was coming from almost every room, especially on the 2nd and 3 floors.
The first room we were assigned to had no functional air conditioning unit, so we were moved to another room. However, that floor REEKED of cigarette smoke.
The next room we were sent to took two trips for me up and down and back and forth to the front desk, due to the keys not working. Then that room had no refrigerator and microwave.
At this point, I asked for a total refund so I could go choose another hotel, due to this one not being able to provide what we had paid for. The desk clerk stated that he only had the manager's name and office number and that no refund could be given to me until Monday. I inquired that there was no manager on duty that could be contacted over the week-end? I also informed the clerk that the hotel was out of compliance with the state law in TN of not being a facility allowing cigarette smoke. He stated they couldn't do anything about what customers chose to do inside the rooms.
We finally were able to move up to another floor without the reek of cigarette smoke, though I asked for the top floor to escape the smoke stench. I was informed that none of the top two floors were allowed to be used by order of the management due to them being under renovation. I saw no renovation in progress when I went up to those floors, and it should be noted that the first time we visited this hotel we were on the top floor.
Everything I stated above, plus the fact that the clerk stated to me on my last attempt to find a room that was decent, didn't stench like cigarette smoke, and had what we paid for, that this was the last time he could allow me to switch rooms. I replied to him that it had been necessary for me to switch rooms not out of choice, but due to the fact that they did not have things working or did not have what we had paid for. I did get the manager's first name and office number. I do plan to contact them on Monday morning. My husband and I visit Memphis on a regular basis, but will NEVER use this hotel again.
On another note, though the property has signs everywhere that it is a lower portion of the Wyndham chain, the clerk claimed that it was under private owners at this time.
Did not eat breakfast. Location was fine.
Night time staff we couldn’t understand and weren’t very accommodating
