Good location

Our rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Good showers. Well decorated. A perfectly nice place to spend the night.
Better sound insulation.
The room was comfortable and clean. Despite being quite small it had everything necessary, and everything worked. The shower was very good. As a simple bed for one night the room was absolutely fine.
There is no parking at the pub, which is inconvenient. The access at the back was pretty muddy after so much rain with a very narrow path - not great for a wheeled case!
Good atmosphere with friendly staff

Walking distance to a party we were attending, and the whole area. Staff who checked us in was very friendly and even offered us a layer check out.
Was very cold on arrival, would have been a nice touch if heating had been turned on in advance, however once it was on it was fine. Was expecting the bar to still be open on return as we were told it would be, however it was closed, but no big deal.
The place was suitable for what we needed, it was basic but clean, ideal for us.
Nothing, everything was as we wanted.
The room was very clean and comfortable with all the facilities you would expect. The bar staff were very helpful and pleasant. A surprise was the availability of Wi-fi which according to Booking.com wasn't available. As per the web site, parking wasn't available but it is if you make an effort to look. I didn't try the pub drinks or food as I'd brought my own. Overall I would stay there again.
A few minor points. The access door from the stairs to the landing really needs a pneumatic door closer as it slams shut with a bang. The bathroom mirror needs to be much larger as a 6" by 6" mirror is too small. Finally a welcome addition to my room was a mini fridge. However this didn't work even though the fan was functioning. It needs replacing.

Very friendly chap behind the bar, room was clean tea and coffee nive towels hot wat, what more do you need for an overnight work stay and very close to my work location. For £45 I was not expecting the Ritz but I was pleasantly surprised.
Fantastic location, really easy to find. We have stayed in the past. Works perfectly for us! The room has always been very clean, super comfortable bed. Water/Tea & Coffee facilities are an added bonus.
The bathroom was very cold but we did eventually notice the isolator switch for the radiator. If we stay again we’ll get that sorted! Otherwise no complaints

Not only was it conveniently situated in the middle of the town but also close to relatives . Altho it was a pub , our room had its own entrance , easily accessible even tho we are elderly . It was spotlessly clean, delightfully furnished and like finding a little Oasis in the middle of Christmas chaos . An absolute joy !
