Nicely decorated! Spread over two connected buildings.
One housekeeping staff kept knocking at my door at 7 am and wouldn’t identify himself. It made me uncomfortable. They need to have those secure chains to allow partial opening of doors and peep holes.
Also - To get to the rooftop dining one has to take several stairs. May be an issue for older guests.
The location is outstanding, right on the edge of Fateh Sagar Lake. The boarding point for the Nehru Garden ferry is a short walk away. Most of the points of interest are within a few kms driving distance. Sufficient parking is available. Room sizes are good. Restaurants have an excellent view of the Lake. Restaurants are well staffed. Menu is adequate. Chef is very good at both traditional and contemporary dishes. It is a heritage premises and the heritage is well maintained. Staff is extremely polite and helpful. Value for money is good. Highly recommended for a short stay.
Not much that could be done better. The rooms could be better sound proofed, to whatever extent possible while not disturbing the heritage status. While the branding on most of the supplies is appreciated, the tableware in the restaurant and bed linen needs a bit of an upgrade.
The heritage residence ambience, architecture and decor.
Water in the bathroom was only lukewarm.
Attentive staff, great location with lake views. We had a king room with balcony and lounge area across from the lake. Rooftop restaurant and the breakfast room had lake views. Hotel was furnished like a stately home. About 15 minute tuk tuk ride to old city.
No complaints at all
View from the hotel
Nothing
Staff
Beds were not comfortable
The food was good..nd the ambience was superb.
we felt the The lack of swimming pool and the size of the room could have been little bit bigger.Especially fir the price o approx 16k just for the two days and that too without ny pool.We were not happy.
Location was great
Breakfast menu was very limited and almost same on all days. Paint was peeling off from the roof and there was too much noise due to construction inside property and unbearable paint smell.
Ambience
Little expensive and rooms are small
Niks
Kakkerlakken overal door de hele kamer bij je eten overal!!!!
The hotel was absolutely beautiful and all the staff and customer service exceeded our expectations. We ate at the restaurant upstairs and all the servers , especially Babu Lal and the other servers (we didn’t get their names) were outstanding. The food was delicious , too!
I couldn’t get the hot water heater switch right. You absolutely HAVE to label the water heater; I had to take cold showers three nights in a row because I couldn’t figure out which one heated the water for a long time.
Also, the water didn’t get hot until the end of my shower no matter how long I waited. I ended up wasting a lot of water, which made me very upset.
Lastly, the second night, my bathroom smelled like a sewer. :-( They fixed it the next day when I notified them of the problem, but it shouldn’t have happened at all.
Nothing only location was good
Everything was bad horrible
Staff was rude
Bed linen was stinking mattress was very cheap quality
Towels were horrible even worse than what we use for mopping at home
It’s not a hotel it’s a Guesthouse(Dharmshala)
Great location, courteous staff, cleanliness, view from restaurant and room, aesthetics of hotel. In-room service and food from kitchen was good on first day.
Rooms inside main compound are very nice. Staff is very courteous and accommodating right from security guard to the front office and stewards at restaurant.
Initial rooms were given in the back alley and were small, noisy, had mould on walls. Rooms were changed to main compound on request which were much better and worth the value. The rooftop restaurant is over priced but view is very peaceful.
