Ok for the price
Pros:

Pro
- located near the center, everything within walking distance
- ⁠very very nice and helpful staff!! (10/10)
- ⁠affordable price
- ⁠cleaning was offered
- ⁠saw a lot of Monkeys from our balcony at the trees/Garden

I have seen other rooms at the Hotel which looked very very nice and were equipped with all what was advertised.
We had bad luck with our room.

I would rate our room 5/10.
But the staff is so nice that my Rating of the whole Place is 6/10.

Contra
- our room was not equipped as proposed - no fridge, no working TV (I didn’t book the room to watch TV but it was advertised so would at least expect it)
- ⁠our room was next to the chimney and people were burning some garbage in the backyard, so in three of five days our whole room was smokey and smelly
- ⁠only two lights in the room were working

A homestay converted to a hotel
Pros:

Very friendly staff. Went out of their way to help.
Large spacious room.
Best view in all of Ella from their dining room on the top floor.

Cons:

Terribly uncomfortable chairs.
Noisy neighborhood. For 2 nights there was loud Sri Lankan music till midnight
For our 3rd night, no music but a strange knocking sound that went on through the night
Narrow staircase to the upper floor. Be very careful when coming down.

It was only over night stay

Rooms are big

Cons:

Moths inside the rooms
Moths wings all over the bed
Sink drains was Brocken and water is going everywhere
Commode in room 110 was wobbly ( not fixed to the ground )

Just what we needed thank you!
Pros:

Good location for little Adams peak walk at sunrise. Short walk to all the restaurants and shops. Spacious rooms, large balcony and comfortable stay. Host was easy to contact and fast replies.

Cons:

Hotel could be a little better signposted

Happy in Ella
Pros:

Huge room and big balcony. Large comfy bed. The staff were so warm and helpful. Brought me tea and coffee to my room and always checking if I need anything. I am a solo female traveller and they looked after me.

Cons:

I booked the budget triple room which was simply presented but fine. If you want better decor, curtains, pictures, furniture etc the other rooms looked prettier but you pay more.
