Underwhelming
Pros:

Friendly staff

Cons:

Hotel in need of update very worn, room was very warm and had to shut window at 7 due to very nosy air condition unit starting (with think) and cistern nose lasted all night . No glasses in room for water . Smoking outside of entrance cigarette butts everywhere . As we booked with booking. Com swimming pool cost £ 8.50 which was crazy as we would only had an hour to use so didn’t use that facility. Warm Breakfast buffet ok however toasters not fit for purpose and no options on fruit , none available on our visit

Absolutely shocking spoiled my holiday just staying in the place
Cons:

The property was absolutely disgusting very dirty very low maintenance.
Stains all over the carpet the floor of bathroom ur feet stuck to it when u walked on it.
The bed had stains on it we asked to change the room but we got completely ignored.
The staff were rude I felt absolutely dirty just sleeping in this room.
The dinning room was very dirty to say it had a 5 rating for cleanliness but this got done in September they must have let it go with being a professional chef if I worked in a kitchen like that I would close it until I made some serious improvement because it was absolutely disgusting
The kitchen hasn’t seen a deep clean in months I’m going to get in touch with Torbay council and request they do another review this will be in the process next week as it stands now it would probably go down from a 5 to a 2 that’s how bad the dinning service was and I would love to see the kitchen area it must be crawling.

Absolutely brilliant value for the money AND they have a spa, so take your cozzie
Pros:

The area is shady which was a good send in the extreme heat

Cons:

It was HOT and the slash window only opened 6 inches, I appreciate the reasons why, I was on 1st floor- with a flat roof, how ever I had no accessible breeze.
I appreciate that they cater to large crowds of couch visitors, but the breakfast the first morning was disappointing! I got the at 9:15.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The pool may be small but it was perfect for the kids to cool off on a hot day.

The beds were not great and had ill fitting linen. The restaurant menu was basic pub grub but the kids were happy.
