205 room we could not sleep due to noice outside building next door building we experienced sleepless nights
Bedding was clean. Staff were friendly.
This hotel is NOT a 4-star hotel!! The overall condition of the hotel is poor and run-down. System was down when we checked in, so room key did not work, and again the next morning we were not able to get back into our room. Some beautiful original features in this property, but they have not been maintained so is quite run down. Bathroom had had several repairs so tiles did not match and looked patched up. Shower floor was cracked, allowing water to seep under the shower tray. When sitting in the airconditioned part of the dining room, there is a smell of oil coming through the aircon ducts. Overall a very poor experience for the price we paid, especially when expecting a 4-star standard. Will definitely not stay here again, and would not recommend.

Booked half board had to pay extra for dessert! Restaurant closed at 21.30 not 22.00 as stated on website noise from outside at night old fashioned furniture in room outdated bathroom whole hotel badly needs upgrading this is a 1 star hotel other 4 star hotels close by STAY AWAY FROM THE BALMORAL HOTEL
