Beautiful art deco room with kind, friendly service
Pros:

Beautiful, large art deco-styled room perfectly located above an excellent pub, near local restaurants and transport. Staff were amazing - they upgraded our room and gave us early check in, which was extra lovely after we had just flown 24 hours from Australia.

Quite an expensive room for a local pub. Nice furnishings nicely decorated but not great value for money.
Pros:

Nice room in a pub venue. Very handy for watching the comedy that is on there.

Cons:

The venue is a pub and therefore very noisy. There is lots of additional noise from the street and from the train line that runs right by the pub.

Overall a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Pros:

Bed was very comfortable. Bed linen and pillows good quality. Bathroom had lovely plump towels. Shower facilities were top notch

Cons:

No complimentary cookies!

No shower cap in bathroom. You can ask about this at the reception apparently, but by the time I discovered this, I wasn’t getting dressed again to go downstairs.

The staff were great. Location great. Very comfy bed and sheets.
