amazing location and amenities
the television set could’ve had more options
Nice location, nice amenities, sweet croissants provided each morning, coffee pods in the room!
I liked the overall room design — they are decorated well and very spacious. Good furniture and the bed was comfortable. Also loved having a kitchenette for a longer stay.
I really wanted to like this hotel— the rooms are super cute and spacious, pretty clean, and it’s a good location. I come to MTL often and was looking for an easy go-to hotel, but I just did not have a good experience, primarily related to the “virtual” front desk. The property is in the Old Port, which is a relatively nice area but on the first night of my stay, a man who made me feel very uncomfortable started following me (around 9 pm on a weekday) and was clearly trying to get into the lobby with me. I had all my stuff, was trying to figure out the key pad, businesses in the area were not really open, and in order to get him to stop following me I had to walk around for 45 minutes (he continued to follow me, even hiding behind cars when he realized I noticed) and then actually had to wait in the lobby of the hotel across the street until it felt safe to try again. I tried to leave the hotel again later in the evening to find some food but when I came downstairs he was still outside, watching through the glass front door (unsettling). If he had come in behind me, it could have been a super unsafe situation, which left me feeling rattled. There is no one to help you, and the room codes are kind of difficult to enter. The next issue was that they somehow lost the last night of my week-long booking, and were texting me in the middle of the night telling me I needed to pay for the room again because the last night had been allegedly cancelled (very scammy feeling and anxiety- generating) and not great to go to bed not knowing if I needed to frantically book another night somewhere else. Booking was showing active everywhere and eventually (after tons of screenshots) it was resolved, but when you have a day full of meetings it’s not fun to be dealing with this (via text) because they refuse to call you. The final issue was that the room wasn’t overly clean. With some changes, this hotel could be a wonderful stay, but right now not ideal for solo female travellers.
The location was great, staff was super helpful, surrounding activities and meals were fabulous. We were told that our rooms would be affected by sound from the underneath winery and side roads - unless we really paid attention we couldn’t hear a peep.
Such a lovely little studio, so well appointed and the location could not have been better
Great propo
There was noise from another bar really close.
