We are use to firm mattress and it was like a sponge so to us nor very comfortable
The room was clean and a good size with a very comfortable bed, had a good nights sleep. No air conditioning but a fan was supplied without asking as the weather was extremely hot. Very quiet location and hotel. A reasonable choice at breakfast but the cooked breakfasts could have been of a better quality. Plenty of onsite parking.
Had to ask for extra towels as only one hand towel and one bath towel provided and there were two of us in a double room.
The bed was very comfortable and all the facilities in the bedroom and bathroom were good quality and in good working order. The room was spacious and appreciated 2 comfortable chairs rather than having to sit on the bed. Dark curtains provided good blackout on a summer night. Like having opening windows
The pillows were too firm lumpy and small
The staff were very helpful and super friendly.
Our sat navigation had a hard time finding The Ely, being a 26 reg vehicle we did think this was most strange, even Gabrielle on reception said some navigation systems do struggle.

Stay here regularly on business. Staff are all lovely. Rooms are absolutely fine - clean and tidy. The restaurant is also nice and again, staff great.
Some rooms are a tiny bit noisy, but it’s a hotel after all.
