The room was quiet and comfy
The food in the pub at the front of the hotel left a bit to be desired
Staff were really friendly. The rooms were a very high quality & super comfortable.
The WiFi from the pub doesn’t quite extend to the hotel, phone signal very limited there too.

Lovely facilities, the traffic side of the hotel was a little nosier than the other room I booked for family but we all slept well.

Easy to park, well stocked and priced bar, good outside area, nice tea making facility in room, very friendly and helpful receptionist, room easy to reach - room quiet and reasonable size. Clean. Meals were good value although imho lacked a little quality - but portion size was good. Good choice of breakfast options - including vegetarian.
One vegetarian option on the main dinner menu - actually might have been two, a plant burger and mushrooms covered in pastry. Need more imagination and healthy options.
The lead front of house on Sunday was not customer-centric. Having ordered the pork I asked him 20 seconds later whether I could change to the turkey - “nope, I’ve just sent it through!”. Really? Same guy closed the bar bang on time, did not allow us our 10 minutes drinking up time; and told us we could not sit outside but had to go to our room with our drinks. Really?
In the room the toilet seat was hanging off the hinges and the shower curtain rail was not secured - falling as soon as the curtain was touched.
No airconditioning.
I liked the option of a continental breakfast at a lower price.
Slightly limited choice. Would have liked more fruit, eg banana. Also, the coffee was weak and only warm. Would have expected a machine, rather than a flask.
The staff were outstanding, friendly helpful and efficient.
