I'm an architect, and observing spaces is part of my professional background. The first thing I noticed in the H Hotel lobby was the balance between the ceiling height and the materials. Wood, dark walls, indirect lighting. Nothing superfluous. That restraint isn't easy to find in El Nido, where many hotels overuse tropical elements to the point of exhaustion.
The breakfast restaurant also has high ceilings. It doesn't feel crowded; the tables are well-spaced, just right.
The room layout makes sense. The bathroom and sleeping area are well-separated. I spent a good while on the balcony in the morning, with my coffee, gazing at Bacuit Bay. Sometimes completely absorbed, sometimes with my mind racing.
The structure of the Piece of Sky is designed so that you can see the bay or the limestone formations from any angle. That's not by accident. Someone designed it that way. I loved it.
Amazing rooms, location was PERFECT. Gorgeous rooftop bar and the vegan restaurant was some of the tastiest food I have ever eaten!! Staff were incredibly helpful, arranged anything we needed and picked us up and dropped us off at the airport.
Nothing!
"Free airport transfer, driver waiting at the exit holding a sign with your name. I’ve paid for that at other hotels. H Hotel just does it. When you’re travelling for work, the straightforward stuff matters most.
The hotel has WiFi and can book island hopping tours for you directly. The suite works. Bed is comfortable enough that getting up feels like a loss. Breakfast is included in the room rate, all plant-based, portion size is sensible. The front desk knew my name on the first day. By the second, I didn’t even need to finish my sentence before they knew what I was asking. That kind of thing removes a lot of friction from a trip.
When I was there, they also had vouchers for nearby places including Piece of Sky upstairs. I went up one evening after getting back from the islands, sat there for an hour watching Bacuit Bay go dark. That view is the best thing I found in El Nido, and I wasn’t expecting it."
This is my first review to write and it’s because my stay was exceptional. One of the best hotel stay experience I had. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Booking any tour or spa visit through them is very convenient plus they gave us discount voucher.
Nothing.
Perfect Hotel! The view from the balcony was beautiful.
Exceptional location
Excellent Staff
Superb Restaurant
I loved everything about it
It’s in the center of the town. The staff were all nice and always smiling.
Perfect location in El Nido town. So close to the main street with all the bars/restos and your island excursion boats. Super friendly staff that go out of their way to help with anything. Hotel is really nicely appointed and has a great rooftop bar. There is no pool but there is a beach right behind the hotel and there are a ton of beach clubs nearby if you need a beach day. Corong beach is walkable & also only a 5min/$2 tuk tuk ride away. Vanilla beach is maybe a 10min ride. Rooms are comfortable and have everything you need. We thought the ocean view room was def worth it! You get free snacks, drinks, noodle soups, coffee, water filling stations, free airport pick up …they even offered to drop us off at our next hotel for free after our stay. Overall a great experience and probably our most pleasant surprise (hotel wise) on a month long trip! I would def stay here again for in-town El Nido fun.
View of the sea from my room. Dyson hairdryer, swing seat in room. Great air-conditioning worked really well. Staff super friendly.
Elevator is really slow 😂
Mita at front reception was so attentive throughout our entire stay. She went above and beyond, one step ahead, anticipating anything we needed.
WiFi - intermittent, inconsistent
Todo!!! El trato es inmejorable, te gestionan los island hopping desde el hotel con su agencia, te llevan y recogen del aeropuerto… no tiene gym pero te dejan un voucher para ir al gym del pueblo.
Very nice staff, vegan breakfast extraordinary good, very clean, the house cat HH
Despite all the good thinks we would recommend to book a room sea aside- the rooms to to the street are a bit noisy.
Rooms are small but nice.
The staff was first class friendly, down to every single person.
The location was great; in the middle of the city, right next to the beach.
The vegan restaurant was top class and popular, and the whole hotel emphasized environmental values.
Even the lower floor had a sea view from the rooms with balconies.
When we arrived, a package of essentials for our excursions was waiting for us in our room - for free.
Would stay again anytime!
We had a fantastic stay! What really stood out was the staff - although I don’t catch their names they consistently went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.
We really appreciated the complimentary airport transfer, as well as the regular shuttles to Nacpan beach. A lovely bonus was the free day pass to their sister hotel there, which gave us full access to the facilities; including sun-beds and the pool. They also helped arrange tuk-tuks for us each morning, which made getting around very easy.
They even surprised us with a few lovely gifts during our stay, which certainly didn’t go unnoticed and added a really thoughtful touch.
Breakfast was excellent - while we aren’t vegan, we found the food delicious with plenty of generous options to choose from. The rooftop bar was another highlight, offering great views, tasty food and a daily happy hour.
The location couldn’t have been more central, making it a perfect base for exploring. The rooms were spacious, the bed was comfortable and the Dyson hair dryer was a nice added touch. And of course the resident cat was absolutely adorable!
