No easy access to shopping & outing, felt remote & idle

Very old beat-house located in stinky and dirty lake water.. The owner and his son are very pushy and arrogant. I felt like they followed and watched me. They are with no manners or kindness, sometimes even rude and impolite. it's difficult to sleep at night because they discuss and quarrel each other very loudly solving family problems at night, and you can hear it clearly. They kept coming into my room many times while I was out. No keys or locker. They wanted only money and more and more money from me (e.g., for drugs, for mother in the hospital, for cleaning room after check out!). Everything they offered me, like a boat trip," special" market shopping or taxi to the airport was 2 or 3 times more expensive, so it looks to me like a scam. According to my reservation, breakfast was included, but they did not serve it at all. Totally not recommend. Actually, it's the worst place during my 2 months of traveling in India.

Stop was very excellent and over my expectations it was a great staying there I'll also recommend other people and the most important the staff behavior was very nice and listen to all the things of uf I'll revie 10/10 and the owner was also very nice nature and helpfully nature

Hello Booking.com Team, I booked my stay at H.B holiday on 27th July. When I reached at this property they advise me to cancel my booking. And offered me this in same but less price..Property was nice so decided to stay there for a week.I had plan for amarnath yatra.when I stayed there first 5days I relieze that some Stuff (small things-my makeup stuff) for my luaagge is missing.these people talk very politely. And their behaviorwas quite nice....i had plan for amarnath yatra so left to amarnath yatra.....i keep my luggage at their store room because i cant carry that much luaggage on trek so i decided to keep over there..after 4 day I back from yatra....decided to stay over there because i had a office for next 3 days.......
Now
suddenly their behavior is changed....before leaving in morning of 10th I started preparing my baggage..... was carrying small waist bag to keep important stuff like mob doc and money.......in same weist bag I keep my watch in night.......l left around 10.30 houseboat........and reached srinagar station I..once I reached srinagar station i reliezed that my watch is missing and then checked my laptop bag as well some small stuff which i keeped upper chain was missing…literally they stole things from luaggage……I lived their for 3 days and he was demading me to pay gor 5days..I refuse to pay that before that they suggest me to book 1 day from booking.com and give best review for them this is how they fool their customer and take reviews from them…….

I highly recommend you H.B Holiday home ..it was my great staying with this family..they will take care as like family guest and try kashmir food with them.i will come again to this family..thank you to manzoor to boat owner.

The room had everything that I needed, it was nice and clean.

The location of accommodation is perfect, it is on the most touristic spot in Srinagar and you can watch boats sailing from your houseboat.

The owners were really nice and friendly people, they were ready to help every time.

I really enjoyed my stay in H.B. Holiday Home 😊

The houseboat room charges are okay. But the room is not up to the mark.

If you are looking for an authentic experience living with a local family then I recommend HB Holiday Home. Mansoor and his family took great care of me and I booked separate trips with them to Pahalgam, Sonamarg and a beautiful overnight shikara trip around Dal Lake. Hiring an ebike for 100Rs per hour from ghat number 1 was an excellent way to explore the beauty of Srinigar. I will definitely be returning to the paradise that is Kashmir, inshallah 🙏

Host Manzoor bhabi and his father Masood are very supportive and give all the information how to roam around where to get the transport they are well known about all the routes and timings.
They also provides shikara ride for best prices and hiking trails services as well
Hosts and their families are genuine people.
