Staff were very helpful and pleasant.
This pub has recently changed hands it seems with the new owner being in residence since June. Other than breakfast, despite the Booking description, there was no food! Our room was clean, but the bed could only be accessed on one side. Clearance on the other side was about six inches. The new owner said the seller had run the business into the ground. A refurbishment is just starting, and we wish her well, but I think she has a struggle on her hands.

Lovely staff - Ellie very welcoming. Gave us complimentary cappuccino and pot of tea in the morning which was a nice touch
No food served in pub - unable to get an evening meal or breakfast.

Host seemed irritated when I first arrived and it was loud into the evening (no sound proofing between pub and rooms), bathroom had a weird smell

The outside stairs to the rooms
This is a wonderful place to stay - right on the canal. Great pub underneath and such welcoming staff. Lovely outside seating areas too. Our room had a lovely view, plenty of space and really comfortable. No problem about storing our bikes overnight. And best of all, when my husband left his specs behind, the landlady posted them back to us. We would go back!

The first time we stayed at this establishment, we were provided with breakfast. It would have been nice to get the same instead of having to go searching for somewhere else to eat before heading home.

Low pressure on the shower, would prefer a pot of tea, rather than a mug made for you..
