The hotel was in a great location with beautiful views out over the bay. The staff were lovely in the dining room and I particularly like the female bar staff. She was very good at her job and also showed a fab sense of humour.
Our shower!! It was cold and had no pressure. I informed reception who told me to run the hotel tap in the sink for 6 minutes and then the shower should be ok. The shower was warm for a few minutes but then ran cold again and still without pressure. Once again we complained to reception who suggested we moved rooms but the room offered was much smaller with half the sea view. So they suggested we use it as our shower room, 5 doors down from our bedroom!!! No discount was offered when we checked out!
Groot, ouderwets/klassiek ingericht hotel, met lounge en bar wat wel het "Schotse gevoel" geeft. De slaapkamer was verrassend modern ingericht. Het diner in de grote eetzaal was goed en werd uitgeserveerd door vriendelijk personeel. Ontbijt was goed en uitgebreid. Parkeren voor de deur. De locatie aan het strand is geweldig, edoch wel wat ver van het dorp Gairloch.
De badkamer was heel klein en compact. Nog nooit zo'n kleine wastafel gezien. Je kon nergens je toiletspullen plaatsen.
Ideal location for doing the nc500, staff very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly and staff more than happy to make a fuss of the dogs. Clean spacious rooms. Lots of chill out spaces in the bar area or in the hotel lobby area.
No outside rubbish bins. Especially being dog friendly 😬

Uitzicht op zee was de moeite waard. Centrale ligging langs de NC500. Restaurant in het hotel was top, lekker gegeten.
De Schotse douches en de boilers zijn wel een dingetje als je die niet helemaal snapt.

Breakfast was a little disappointing as it had mass produced written all over it. If you chose a later breakfast time the food was not replenished and not fresh.
