Highly Disappointed

Cons:

We had reserved and confirmed 2 rooms. However, upon arriving all the way from Colombo, we were shocked to be told that the booking was not known and the rooms had already been given to another family. Only one room was available, which was extremely inconvenient and unprofessional.

This caused a great deal of frustration and disappointment, especially after travelling such a long distance with prior confirmation. Proper booking management and communication are basic expectations from any property. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below that standard and left us highly dissatisfied.

Price and quality in order, improve the bathroom
Pros:

The accommodation looks ok at first glance, but there were a lot of things missing (I had to ask for a towel, a blankets). The hosts are very nice but need to improve a few things.

I had a wonderful stay here. The host was incredibly friendly and supportive — she made me feel just like family. Nothing Special, friendly lady at the property

Cons:

First of all, this is not an actual walawwa or bungalow as advertised. When we arrived, I had a discounted rate through Booking.com and was supposed to pay Rs. 8,600. However, the lady at the property asked us to pay Rs. 9,000 instead.

We booked one A/C room and two non-A/C rooms. But there was no remote for the A/C, and when I asked about it, the lady said they couldn’t provide an A/C room at that price and requested an additional LKR 1,000. After she spoke to the person who listed the property on Booking.com, she gave A/C remote.

There was no privacy, as the owner stays on the property and some ongoing family members. The TV remote was also taken away, and we weren’t given access to it to watch our favorite channels. The listing showed kitchen facilities, but they asked for extra payment to use the cooker. Luckily, we brought our own, so it wasn’t a big issue for us. It was hard to enter to the property to our long van as road is small.

Very cozy place. Developing property. Rooms are mixed the moden design with historic flavor.
Pros:

Place is good and parking is available if you a traveling in a private vehicle. Staff is super helpful. If you are a local traveler, they are helping a lot for making religious offerings.
