First time I have stayed at a Holiday Inn. The room was clean with a very comfortable bed. Staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast was very good with an excellent choice. Was definitely value for money and would certainly stay at Holiday Inn again.

That you could not open the windows.
Breakfast is self serve buffet with hot and cold option plus tea and coffee. Plenty of choices. Plenty of seats.
The drinks machine doesn’t seem to deliver a full cup.

Friendly staff
No air on in room on very hot day and night. Worst nights sleep in a hotel I have ever had.
Was not made aware of air conditioning failure when booking in, so not able to cancel and seek other hotel.
However, my concerns were sympathetically listened to and a full refund given.
Location was central to our requirements
Arriving back just after midnight there were quite a lot of young men walking about in Solstice park
Breakfast excellent. Dinner good except dessert which was not up to expectations ( waffle?)

Location appropriate for our journey to Cornwall.
Dessert was disappointing. Waffle base solid and difficult to eat.
Breakfast was very good. Catered for my gluten-free needs very well. Food absolutely good and selection very good.
The evening meal food was very poor. We ate dinner two nights and my husband's food was really bad on both times. I was ok with the gluten free choice and no problem first night but second night I chose steak (the most expensive item) but it came with small salad and no mushrooms as indicated on menu. My husband chose the leek pie and it was impossible to cut into (frozen?). We were too tired to complain but I did tell there manager when he asked if everything was OK and £3. or so was deducted from bill. How can breakfast be so efficient and good quality and the dining experience so poor? Shame.
