Le niveau de service est inexistant:
- il y a une laverie (qui coûte cher, avec uniquement des pièces de 100 ou 500yen et aucune machine pour faire de la monnaie sur place) avec des machines à laver et des séchoirs. Beaucoup de nos habits de supportent pas le sèche-linge et il n’y a aucune solution alternative disponible. J’ai demandé à l’accueil si on pouvait avoir un étendoir ou des cintres pour faire sécher dans la chambre, et le personnel n’en avait strictement rien à faire. Pas de solution - débrouille toi.
- le dernier soir, j’ai demandé de l’aide pour réserver un transfert taxi pour l’aéroport le lendemain et ils ne pouvaient réserver que des “taxis normaux”. Aucun problème pour nous, on devait juste pouvoir faire rentrer 5 valises et 3 personnes. Elle me propose donc de réserver 2 taxis - et pour les vans, on doit se débrouiller seuls. Pour un hôtel de ce prix, je m’attendais un minimum qu’ils puissent réserver un transfert pour l’aéroport. Peu importe, j’ai pu réserver via Booking simplement et j’ai eu la confirmation dans l’heure qui a suivi.
- le système de filtration de l’air est ancien et vraiment pas au niveau. La qualité de l’air de la chambre était vraiment mauvaise. J’ai eu le nez qui a saigné au bout de 3 jours, et mon mari a eu des irritations ORL également.
- le onsen est agréable mais m’a irrité la peau (alors qu’on est habitués aux onsen)
- le petit déjeuner dépanne mais ce n’est clairment pas du niveau de base du Japon. N’importe quel boutique de métro/gare est meilleure que ça.
住宿地點很方便, 對面就是不忍池, 夏天常有屋台, 像台灣的擺攤一般, 很多樣化的選擇. 地點方便, 走路到阿美橫町大概十分鐘內, 到地鐵站也是十分鐘內. 交通便利~ 後門出去左轉有Lawson, 右轉有7-11. 往前巷子有業務超市, 全家. 再往前走就是唐吉軻德上野店. 高樓層視野很棒, 可以直接看到不忍池.
二樓洗衣機跟烘衣機都各有五台, 洗衣機一次洗三十分鐘, 烘衣機一百塊烘三十分鐘, 但經常烘到九十分鐘還是不太乾. 需要超過這時間才會比較乾. 而且烘衣機數量太少. 烘的住客結束後也不盡快拿走, 要烘的人就只能在那邊乾等. 再來就是價格一年比一年貴, 半年前就預定, 四人房上下舖要價台幣一萬一左右. 住四天就要價四萬二左右, 日期愈近價格就越貴.

The reception area is not relaxing. There is actually no lounge area.
So many people love the area - we didn’t like it as much. Lot of strip clubs and all that comes with that just outside the door.
The breakfast is good, and I'm staying in a 14th-floor family room with a beautiful view.
The air conditioner is not an inverter model, causing the temperature to fluctuate between too hot and too cold, which makes it very hard to sleep. I strongly recommend upgrading to an inverter air conditioner. Other than that, everything else is great.
We strongly recommend replacing the TV with a Smart TV capable of streaming YouTube. International travelers rarely watch Japanese cable TV.
I like the room space and the onsen.
The restaurant.
Great location, at the heart of Ueno, opposite the park and a bunch of museums and just 5 min walk from the main Ueno station. We moved around with the G (Ginza) orange line or the JR Yamanote. It's also extremely convenient if you fly from or to Narita airport (specific train station is also 5 minutes away, around 45 min ride).
Ameyoko market, with the izakayas and the small shops just a few steps away. You can walk to Asakusa and Akiha as well. 15 min walk to Yanaka district - a must visit to get away from the Tokyo "madness".
Spacious rooms with all the amenities. Free soft drinks at the lobby. Front office was extremely helpful. When we asked for their help to book a class, Daiki (I think that was his name) handled the situation like a pro, even accompanied us to the convenience store (it was very close as well) to conclude the payment. They also lent us an adaptor (there were only USB A charging spots in our room). The rooftop onsen was great - clean, easy to use -great views- indoor and outdoor and free of charge. The hotel has two entrances, one from the park, the other at the back street where the hostess bars are, which apparently were not that noticeable, and no one bothered tourists, so in my opinion there's nothing to worry about, even if you are traveling with kids, like us.
The air condition was loud, even on the first scale. Upgrade needed.
The elevators were slow at peak time. We could wait 5 minutes for a ride.
It's a medium size hotel so it was more crowded than we expected.
The back streets were dirty in the early mornings, due to the fact that there are a lot of bars and hostess bars around.
The size of the room is generous. The mixture of tatami and carpet made us enjoy the Japanese style of living. I requested a room facing Shinobazu Pond and I got it in the end! Love the hot bath on the 14th floor especially in the morning when it was less crowded. There were total five washing machines and dryers available though normally you still need to wait for a while during busy hours. Last but not least, staff were extremely helpful and nice and they spoke excellent English.
Avoid using the back door as an exit if you travel with young kids or else you need lots of explanation.

Big rooms for my family of 3. Close proximity to transport, the park, and shopping.
Good Onsen as well.
Could hear the kids above us jumping up and down. Toilet paper was terrible. The washing machine didn’t take 500yen coins and the vending machine did not accept my money.
