Pros:

The general atmosphere in Barkerville was amazing, sleeping in the St. George Hotel was the cherry on top! Everyone is super friendly, the decor is wonderful. Would definitely recommend!

I'm so glad I discovered this truly unique hotel that provides an experience like no other.
Pros:

A step back in time that provides an experience like no other. Everything from our host, Ria, to the decor of the hotel to the wonderful breakfast was perfect! I would stay here again and will recommend to all my friends and family want something than a traditional hotel experience.

Pros:

The Breakfast had lots of variety and was different both days. Was also accommodating to food sensitivities Very friendly, helpful staff. Loved that we had access to water and coffee during the day and a place to rest if needed.

I say it’s a must. If you are goong to Barksville you have to stay at the St. George
Pros:

I loved staying right in the centre of it all in Barkerville. It was super clean and the included breakfast was awesome, coffee and tea all day long.

Cons:

I would prefer to have my own bathroom but the shared bathroom worked just fine. It was always clean and only shared with 1 or 2 more rooms.

Magical stay! Highly recommend!
Pros:

The old time charm was spot on. The location, inside Barkerville was perfect for explore the grounds after hours when others left. The breakfast was of high quality and great variety. Ria was a lovely host and made sure we were well looked after. The rooms were clean and well appointed.

Toller Ort um Geschichte zu erleben

Wonderful stay and Ria, was exceptional.
Pros:

Ria, the hotel manager was exceptional - definitely the best part and there were many great parts to this stay. Location was perfect, room was quaint and perfect - a bit small - but that is the era. The bathrooms were shared but otherwise fantastic. The breakfast was outstanding and my kids and I raved about the fresh croissants. I would go back in a heartbeat.

We loved it!
Pros:

We loved everything – our host Ria, the hotel, and Barkerville itself.

The hotel is incredibly beautiful and decorated in a charming period style. The room was an absolute highlight. Even though the house is quite old and you can hear some sounds, it was always peaceful, and everyone was considerate of each other. The charm of the historic building combined with the warmth of our host made the trip truly worthwhile. We are absolutely thrilled!
