Location Near to station
Beds are poor , not able to sleep properly ,
Nothing, wasn’t allowed to check in
The staff refused to check me in despite booking.com offering a late time slot. Then just ignored my message.
Friendly staff. Spacious rooms
The mattresses aren’t great and a single bathroom between this number of rooms can be a pain. Excellent bathroom though
Vicinity to local amenities
Room was cold, electric radiator insufficient for size of room. Shared bathroom freezing, no heating and windows open.
Great spot for an overnighter in Halifax! The staff are wonderful and very helpful. You can walk to any of the attractions and restaurants. Despite being above the pub, I never really noticed the noise, and what little there is ends promptly at closing time. They put a lot of effort into the renovations for the rooms, its quite clean and comfy.
No complaints.
Room was lovely 😍 staff were lovely we stayed new years eve after getting ready we went to the bar down stairs and were welcomed. Beds were super comfy and exceptionally clean we couldn't have asked for anything more from our stay
There was nothing we didn't like
Needed a cheap overnight stay in the area & it did the job. Traditional pub downstairs & close to station.
No hot water to shower in the morning, but not a problem as there's a bath as well.
The location, close to the city centre, the car parking
My room was very cold, no heater was on. There was a radiator electrical heater in the room. I was told that the main heater is on a timer so god knows when the heater would come on and for how long. The window did not close and left a big opening allowing cold air in. I was told that is because the building is old... There was only 1 electrical socket in the room, there was no kettle and tea bags (like in so many other hotels) for making a cup of tea, the television was only tuned to 4 channels, no proper solution to hang up my cloths, no proper solution to keep my suitcase, I paid £90.00 for a 2night stay.
I hope that the hotel management uses my £90.00 to at least fix the defective window in the room for the next customer.
