Would highly recommend - I would definitely stay there again
Pros:

Location was perfect for getting around (close to the Metro) and close to everything if you just wanted to walk. The room was very nice, clean. The breakfast had a lot of variety and the staff couldn’t be more helpful.

Cons:

I have no bad comments for this hotel

A pleasant stay in a 'classic' Shanghai style
Pros:

Classic Art Deco boutique hotel, clean facilities, friendly and professional staff across the services. Easy access location to key attractions. Tasty food with lots of options :D

1.飯店地點就在人民廣場14號口正對面（走路1分鐘），走路去南京路步行街大概10分鐘。
2. 房間內床非常大，浴室也有大浴缸。

Cons:

1. 浴室洗手台是圓形的太小，水容易噴濺出來
2. 冷氣要調很低溫（至少21度）才會涼

In Ordnung, bei Angebotspreisen
Pros:

Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß aber recht dunkel. Ausblick auf den Innenhof war okay, aber leider ein Zimmer in der Ecke.
Die Betten sind sehr bequem.
Wasser genug vorhanden.
Die Mitarbeiter im Lobbybereich sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Die Damen vom Zimmerservice sind super freundlich.

Die Lage an sich ist top.
U-Bahn, Nanjing Rd. schnell zu erreichen.
Frühstück ist in Ordnung, aber nicht überragend.

Wenn man Angebote bekommen kann, ist es passend. Regulärer Preis ist deutlich zu hoch.

Frühstück in Ordnung, aber nicht überragend: Viele Sachen liegen zu lange herum. Es wird der Tisch abgeräumt, obwohl man nur Nachschlag holt.

Es gibt keine Möglichkeit draußen zu sitzen. Okay, Stadthotel, aber da hatte ich andere Hotels in gleicher Lage die besser waren.
Der Lobby Bereich ist zu klein, gerade mal 6 Tische.

This hotel is stellar. Great location, beautiful room, incredible breakfast. Very professional, English speaking staff. Everything is clean, smells lovely, polished to the last detail in its retro style. Loved it.

Cons:

stayed two nights, both nights had issues with the toilets overflowing into bathroom, i was embarrassed having to report it to reception as i thought they would think it was me, it was my first toilet visit and i only did a pee, so i was surprised when i flushed and it overflown followed by toilet paper and other toilet things. but they did clear it straight away and cleaned the room, but i was disappointed when it happened again the following Moring, i started using the nearby shopping mall when i needed the toilet as i wasn't convinced it wouldn't happen again

Classic Shanghai charm
Pros:

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and genuinely enjoy coming back. The property has a distinctive Golden Era Shanghai charm that gives it a unique atmosphere. The location is excellent, and the hotel restaurant, 1933 Rose, is outstanding.

Cons:

On the downside, I have now experienced unpleasant behavior from the breakfast staff for the second time. Considering this is a five-star hotel, it is not acceptable to be told a few minutes before 10:00 that I cannot take any more pastries that are still available, simply because breakfast ends at 10:00. In comparable hotels, it is usually not an issue to sit and finish breakfast a bit beyond the official closing time.
