Wonderful relaxed stay
Pros:

Fantastic hotel! we took our two dogs and they were welcomed at this hotel. Dogs are allowed in the reception and bar area and the staff will happily set up a breakfast table in the bar for you to have breakfast. The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. Staff are so helpful and friendly. The road is quiet at night and there is ample parking. Will definitely stay again!

Cons:

Nothing

Pros:

Modern and clean

Cons:

No tea or coffee in the room. Had to walk 100m to get tea in the corridor. Disgraceful. Charged for parking. Charged for arriving early. Will never stay at this hotel again.

Unlikely to return
Pros:

Only opening last year, it felt modern and fresh. The staff overall had been fantastic from check in to dealing with issues. Jazmin was exceptional. Hotel is in a good location for what we wanted. No tea and coffee station in the room but a well equipped station in the corridor.

Cons:

A few things here,

The main disappointment was the breakfast, when we booked we called the hotel directly as we travel with our dog to check about breakfast. I was assured by Poppy on the front desk it was a buffet style full English breakfast. That we could get what we want and then either sit in the bar or take it back to the room. Having a nervous dog that dog not like strangers coming up to us. This was really important.

Having not had a good nights sleep we went down to the bar, grabbed a table out of the way in the corner, went to go and get breakfast to be told that there had not been enough guests in the hotel and that it was table service. So we ordered two full English breakfasts, not looking at the menu considering a full English is a full English - you would think. So then we had the staff coming to the table to lay the table, each time having to get up and walk away with the dog. Then breakfast comes - in shock to find a pile of cabbage, kale, fried beetroot sitting on the plate, there was two very strong and meaty sausages, bacon and eggs as well as mushroom and fried potatoes all sat in a swamp of grease. It was that off-putting that we both got up from the table and left it. Why over complicate a traditional English breakfast. Breakfast is really important which is why I called and asked first which is what I expected. The breakfast was presented in a nice look. We had been told that we should have read the menu before ordering - but two full English breakfast.

Second issue - took the dog down just before bed. It was about 1230am. A man I. A black hoody(either a member of staff or someone that is a frequent resident there so I am told) came out the front of the hotel and stared over, then for no reason at all walked directly towards me, stopped and continued watching me. Never have I felt so uncomfortable, in an area where there is just office buildings, it was dark and no one else around.

A great new hotel !
Pros:

We were very impressed - it’s a new hotel and very environmentally conscious- the rooms were comfortable and very clean - we had a kitchenette, however if you didn’t, there are tea and coffee facilities along the corridor as well as fresh water. The breakfast was excellent and seasonal, continuing their ethos of nett zero. We would use this hotel again.

Cons:

They maybe need to check the lights in the rooms as some fittings were already not quite connecting and considering it’s only one year old the wear and tear may cause issues in the future. The pod style bathrooms work very well, however, they may cause issues in the future with noise in the future as they creak quite a lot when you walk into them. None of this was an issue, however, it may have been, if the hotel was full and all rooms an occupied.
