The checkin service was memorable. When we arrived after airport shuttle picked us up, we were greeted knowing it was Mr.Luciani already. And instead of walking to the reception, our rooms were ready and was taken straight to room where check-in was proceeded. It was a smooth process and greeted with genuine smiles along the way and throughout our stay.
We also highly recommend the Chinese restaurant. One of the best we've been to. Everything we ordered was delicious and even with 4 glasses of french rose, the price was very reasonable in comparison to australian prices. If we lived in manila, we would be there every sunday.
I have to say, the margarita in the lounge was definitely one of my favorite. perfection.
Only thing i could possible add a touch to, after we checked out , we used the childrens pool and the showers had no soap or shampoo to use. it would be nice if the the conceirge or pool men had backup toiletries to offer to guests who are enjoying the facilities one last time and possilby get ready before their flight. =) just a little extra tip.

Extreme price compared with the other Shangri -la hotels in Manila
Everything about our stay was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and professional. The location is excellent, the rooms are beautifully maintained, and the bathrooms were spotless and well-appointed. Every detail felt thoughtfully considered, and the overall experience was truly top-tier. It set a new standard for what a 5-star stay should feel like.
The only minor drawback was that the room configuration for a family of four included two double beds rather than two queens, which felt a bit tight. The price point is also quite high, but the quality of the experience does reflect that.

Short-staying guests (ie. 11 days in Residences) did not get same treatment as hotel guests eg. No fruit basket or no welcoming drinks on arrival. No hotel stationeries so these still had to be requested.
Location and the rooms are first class
Not enough coffee pods in the room and the buffet was over priced
