Blu Atlantic Hotel & Suites

Room were old run down and ours had mold on the curtains lamp shades and phone, the door would let close properly and had to be slammed shut

The room was very basic. We didn't have tissues in the room and there were three sets of dinnerware for five people. There wasn't liquid hand soap and we had to ask for dish soap so we could do dishes. There was no laundry soap in the laundry room and they didn't have it at the front desk either. The pictures online looked a lot nicer than the room did in person. The building did not feel very secure compared to buildings nearby.

One elevator

It was my fault when booking the ocean front room I was on the first floor and pool was right there, being only one person and older no family to enjoy the pool wish I had a room up higher floors so you could see the ocean.

The property only provides small sample-sized shampoo and soap, as if guests were staying for just one night. Most hotels provide full-size dispensers with shampoo, body wash, and hand soap, which is much more convenient, especially for longer stays. We stayed for six nights and were only given one regular coffee packet and one decaf coffee packet for the entire stay.

The bathroom was very uncomfortable because it had poor ventilation and became extremely hot while showering. The bathtub is also level with the bathroom floor, so water easily spills out and leaves the entire bathroom soaked.

The air conditioning did not work well and barely cooled the room. On top of that, it blew a noticeable amount of dust into the room.

Housekeeping never cleaned our room during our stay. They didn’t even empty the bathroom trash, despite us requesting housekeeping service.

Finally, the elevator was a terrible experience. We actually got stuck inside, and because there was almost no ventilation, it became unbearably hot. It was a very uncomfortable and concerning situation.

Overall, our experience was far below expectations, and there are several issues that the property should address to improve future guests’ stays.

Over $400 for one night, and the refundable deposit of $150… I didn’t like that the door to our suite was open upon our arrival, and it was broken, we struggled to get it closed, suites are ocean view not ocean front and had no private balcony. The key cards stopped working completely while we were away from the room, so we had to make sure someone was in the room to get back in, the front desk was contacted but they were not able to fix it so a staff member had came to let us in manually… the pillow cases/pillows had a weird old smoke smell to them… the floor in the room had sand particles everywhere, because of the updated floor you can’t tell sand is there until you step/walk on it without shoes… it wasn’t all bad, I would probably stay here again, just wouldn’t get a suite because it’s not ocean front

The brunette receptionist has a very bad character, she doesn't serve him well, I'm not racist but she looks like she's very racist with Latinos
