Orrie's Beach Bar and Hotel

This is a clean and comfortable hotel with a beach right across the road. The big draw here is the staff and service. Owner Shawn goes out of his way to attend to your needs and comfort. Shawn's wife cooks dinner and it was truly amazing--really great food, definitely plan to eat at least one meal there. Orrie's is five star place on a three star budget!

La camera era spaziosa, colorata, provvista di tutto l'arredamento necessario (tavoli e sedie sia per l'interno che per l'esterno, frigorifero e microonde) e con il balcone proprio di fronte al meraviglioso mare di Antigua: svegliarsi la mattina con quella vista è impagabile! La struttura vanta anche un bar-ristorante, sempre vista mare, aperto tutto il giorno e di sera (cosa per nulla scontata, ho trovato orari molto più ridotti in giro per l'isola), dove è possibile avere colazione/pranzo/cena o fermarsi per un ottimo aperitivo o per un delizioso cocktail serale. Il locale è davvero carino e il plus è il simpaticissimo proprietario capace di catapultare i suoi ospiti nel più distensivo del relax e nell'allegro ambiente caraibico che ha creato. La posizione è un po' decentrata rispetto alle zone turistiche più conosciute e di conseguenza i servizi nei dintorni sono minori. Però se - come noi - avete intenzione di visitare sia la parte ovest che la parte est dell'isola, diventa l'ideale perchè si trova grosso modo equidistante dalle principali mete sia ad est che ad ovest.

Close to a spectacular beach.
Shawn was very welcoming and extremely helpful. When we arrived he had just had to take his wife to the hospital, but he ran to buy some fish for us, which was so thoughtful.
The room has a very comfortable bed. It’s a large room, with homely touches.Fantastic balcony with an amazing view of glorious sunsets. Shawn even put up a hammock for me! Good
shower too. Seating area in the room was useful.

We absolutely loved our stay at Orrie’s on Antigua's most beautiful beach! Shawn, a wonderful local host, made us feel right at home. It was such a refreshing change from the all-inclusive resorts, and having local restaurants and supermarkets nearby was so convenient for preparing simple meals and enjoying those amazing beach sunsets. The view from our room was simply breathtaking – waking up to the beach and sea every day was a treat. Plus, the tropical gardens with the adorable tortoises and the fun beach bar with their fantastic rum punches made it even more memorable. Hiring a car from the airport made it a lot easier to get around.

We arrived at Orries after i was discharged from hospital in antigua to recover post pneumonia. Shaun couldn't have been more helpful and supportive. His care and support was above and beyond he took us food shopping, he took us to and from a local restaurant he even used his mobile to phone our insurance company when our phones wouldn't work. He is so friendly and helpful and the location is stunning I truly believe Shaun played a huge part in my recovery and we are both very grateful to him

I've never stayed in a place that exceeded all my expectations, and I'll return to Orrie's as much as possible.

Turner beach is incredible- gentle waves, fine sand, and not crowded at all. The location can't be beat. Ortie's is right next to a resort that costs at least 4x the price, so the value for money is unbeatable.

The property is excellent- hot water in the showers, balconies overlooking the beach with sunset views, extremely comfortable beds, and a gorgeous, manicured pathway with flowers, artwork and turtles!

Shawn, the owner, is a truly exceptional host. For example, one of the guests had a craving for French fries. He put the oil on, drove to the store, bought potatoes and made them for her on the spot!

A fantastic location and the staff there was so friendly and accommodating. Morning swims in the ocean and incredible sunsets from the room balcony. It's only a short walk to a few other restaurants on the beach. It is a beautiful place and I would happily go back in the future.

Fantastic location right on the beach. Great home cooked breakfast. Couple of beach bars within a short walk for other choices of eating, we did have a few evening meals here as well and these were great. Antigua as it should be.

Shawn and V became like family within hours. Lovely clean hotel right on the beach and anything you need, Shawn will make it happen! Including personally driving me to see the swimming pics and running me a roof top bubble bath! Home cooked food was delicious, felt like home. Love this place, love Shawn and his wife V. I will be back 🙏🏼
