Breakfast was amazing. Staff were great, even warning us to wrap up warm to walk to the gym. Lovely view from breakfast.
The hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas and had a cosy feel. I've stayed at Nutfield Priorty before but still wowed by the imposing entrance hall and architecture of the building. My bedroom was a really good size with a comfy bed and breakfast was hot and tasty. I appreciated the little details like complimentary water in the room and nice amenities in the bathroom. Me and my two friends enjoyed afternoon tea. There was a great selection for my friend who is gluten-free. It was a generous portion and the staff worked hard to make us feel welcome. The location worked perfectly for us - a short drive from Redhill station where taxis were waiting. My friends flew into Gatwick, so the connection from the airport was very easy by train. Dinner was tasty and we liked the menu. The staff were trying very hard to offer an attentive service.
Having stayed at the hotel before and had a great time, it felt like some areas were getting a little tired, especially the bedrooms/ bathroom. My bedroom was very cold, despite me turning up the heating to the max and when I showered in the morning, the bath beneath the shower quickly filled with water as the drain was blocked. I didn't report this as I was already in the shower and felt it should have been checked beforehand. The staff worked so hard to be attentive and were delightful in many ways but a little too overbearing which frequently interrupted our conversation during dinner. It's a small detail but was very noticeable and could easily be tweaked to give the diner a better experience. There was quite a palaver as we departed as we asked if we could split our total bill three ways as there were three of us in the party. After about 30 mins it was sorted, but the receptionist wasn't hugely helpful it took us reviewing several print-outs and calculating it ourselves using our phones to get there. There was a wedding in the hotel the day we checked out which we weren't informed of in advance (despite several conversations about my booking beforehand), which meant we had to vacate the premises earlier than we would have liked - we'd planned to stay for lunch and coffee during the day.
Location, building, breakfast, room
No fridge in the room!
Gorgeous
Nothing. It was excellent
The staff were all very helpful, they brought up oat milk when I asked. The views were lovely. The spa staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great. The seating areas were lovely and well maintained.
The sockets near the bed both didn't work and there weren't many useable sockets in the whole room. The TV was dated and too basic for the price point. The food from the bar made me unwell (not sure why this was) and was expensive. The door handle to the room was nearly broken, which the staff were aware of, but hadn't been repaired. Our room was right by the lift which made it noisy...not a great location for a "mini-moon" getaway.
The room was clean and attractive. The restaurant was pleasant and the staff here were very friendly. Especially Alec and the bartender.
The spa was over crowded. The front of house staff were not particularly friendly and slightly awkward at times. Our bed was 2 singles pushed together so a big uncomfortable line separated them. The mattresses were also not comfortable.
Breakfast was amazing, friendly staff
Overpriced
Unfortunately, the check-in experience was disappointing — the reception staff appeared unorganised and unwelcoming, and there was an argument between two members of staff during our arrival. While another staff member was friendlier, the overall impression was poor.
The room was also below expectations: it was stuffy and lacked a fridge and drinking water, which was frustrating given the high price. On a positive note, the food was good, and the breakfast bar staff were friendly, although they seemed short-staffed.
To improve guest experience, I suggest:
Improving staff training on welcoming and organised check-in procedures.
Ensuring all rooms meet basic comfort standards, including ventilation, fridges, and access to drinking water.
Reviewing staffing levels, especially at breakfast service.
I hope this feedback and these suggestions are helpful for enhancing future guests’ stays.

Kind regards,
Room comfortable. Food very good. Staff attentive. Helpful receptionist.
A little dusty in the room. Windows need painting and edges cleaned. Grouting in bathroom stained in places plus dust above tiles behind the door.
The setting with its traditional English architecture and surroundings. The rooms are of a good size and relate to an era gone by which is espoused in Japan where my guest came from.
The afternoon tea did not go well as we were seated right by an entrance/exit door to the garden and had to continuously get up to open the door to people trying to get in and constantly leaving the door open. Eventually we asked to move but by then the ambience and mood of the occasion was ruined.
I liked absolutely everything about this venue. The location, staff, facilities, food and views. Breakfast was amazing.
I liked everything, perfection!
The building and location
The spa was completely separate from the hotel & we could not use due to it being full of general public & guests. Some posh fudge left in room to eat was already opened.
I’m devastated I couldn’t make it there in time but I love the place very much.
The facts that you check-in earlier. But I understand the wedding was the day before
