Grand Hotel Toplice - Small Luxury Hotels of the World

We loved the location right on the Lake, it is also invaluable having the private Beach club area to sunbath and swim in the Lake itself, which has two lifeguards and a waiting service if you want drinks and food while there.
We really liked the Breakfast very nice selection and clean, ordered not chaotic, spaced out - lots of tables and space not all on top of each other.

Being right on lake Bled and the charm of this historic charming hotel. Staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with views of lake bled. Our room was upgraded to a suite to accommodate two sleeping areas. Swimming off there private deck was amazing!

Our room, with a lakeside view was wonderful, as was the size and comfort of the room. every member of staff that we met was very friendly and helpful, especially Svetlana in the dining room, but they all went above and beyond.
This was a really 'grand'hotel with old fashioned luxury and comfort. it looks as if the upcoming renovations will keep this very special atmosphere.

Directly on the lake with great private access to swim and sit by the lake. Delicious breakfast buffet with great variety of fresh food.

The location is perfect right on the lake with wonderful views ,the staff were friendly and helpful most of yhe public rooms are quite grand with fantastic views but a little dated. The breakfast was good with an excellent choice. Spa good spring water pool lovely. The lakeside bathing area was comfortable great views and direct bathing in lake

Izjemna lokacija, čudovita zgodovinska hiša in povsem dobre sobe, vendar žal storitev danes ne dosega ravni, ki bi jo pričakoval od petzvezdičnega Grand Hotela Toplice.

Največja težava ni potreba po prenovi, ampak pomanjkanje osnovne operativne discipline, hotelske kulture in predvsem vidnega vodstva. V času bivanja praktično nisem zaznal osebe, ki bi hotel dejansko vodila, spremljala delo zaposlenih in skrbela, da se standardi dosledno izvajajo. Veliko tega, kar osebje počne, zato deluje povsem naključno in neusklajeno. Edina oseba iz vodstvenih prostorov, ki sem jo občasno opazil, je bil g. Jastrobnik, vendar kot gost nisem zaznal konkretnega učinka njegove prisotnosti na kakovost storitve ali organizacijo hotela. Glede na stanje hotela se zato težko izognem vtisu, da takšna vodstvena funkcija trenutno nima pravega učinka.

Posledice so vidne na vsakem koraku: ni večernega turndown servisa, kopalniška kozmetika je generična, po hotelu so pregorele luči, zajtrk je podpovprečen in naleteli smo celo na slabo sadje, na hotelski plaži pa ni ustrezne strežbe pijače. Tudi usposobljenost, uniforme in nastop dela osebja ne ustrezajo pričakovanemu standardu. Kot slovenski gost sem bil večkrat avtomatično nagovorjen v angleščini. Zvečer je pianist v elegantnem lobbyju igral v športnih oblačilih in gojzarjih, z notami na telefonu.

Vse to so na videz malenkosti, vendar je luksuzni hotel pravzaprav sestavljen iz takšnih podrobnosti. Predvsem pa mora nekdo skrbeti, da te podrobnosti niso prepuščene naključju.

V lobbyju so predstavljeni načrti prihodnje prenove, toda prenova ne more biti opravičilo za današnje stanje. Za delujoče žarnice, sveže sadje, vrhunsko usposobljeno osebje, turndown in beach service niso potrebni novi interierji.

Grand Hotel Toplice ima neverjeten potencial in zgodovino. Pred leti je znal ponuditi bistveno višjo raven storitve. Zato je današnje stanje še toliko večje razočaranje.

Great historic hotel, the view from the balcony and the breakfast fantastic! Comfortable room.

A Hotelnek van elkülönített szabad strand része a tóparton. A vízben úszás hatalmas élmény volt. Reggeli bőséges. Recepciós kollega, nagyon kedves, barátságos volt.
