Every member of staff was so polite and helpful. The swimming pool was great, hardly anyone else using it. The price was excellent.
It was eerily empty. Now that the airport has moved to the east of SIem Reap. These hotels on the road out to the west are obviously suffering. Room was spacious.
We are truly grateful for our remarkable stay at Empress Angkor Resort and Spa. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive. The complimentary breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious and offered such a great variety. Our room was spacious, well-equipped, and incredibly comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff’s ability to communicate in English was very helpful and made everything seamless. The resort itself is stunning elegantly designed and complete with excellent facilities and amenities that went above and beyond our expectations. We were extremely lucky to have almost the entire place to ourselves 💗💗💗
The only downfall is that we wish we had stayed longer 🫣
The hotel looks great, the local style is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the pool is large and pleasant. The breakfast is one of the best possible, the variety is very large, everything is fresh and delicious. In the evening it is pleasant to sit at the bar by the pool. There is always a tuk-tuk outside the hotel so we managed the trips easily. The staff is welcoming and available all the time. Full value for the price.
The lighting in the shower is very weak.
The price of doing laundry in the hotel makes no sense, 10 times the price in the city.
staff - perfect, furniture - amazing
Poor choice of dishes for breakfast, only Asian dishes ("lunch"), no choice of bread, cold cuts, poor salads. Even a fried egg was made carelessly. No juices (even though there were few guests, the drinks were made from powder.... Avoid breakfast in this hotel... Unfortunately, a disappointment (and so little is missing for a very good rating)
My driver ho was sent from the hotel to pick me up at the airport ended up driving me for 3 days and he was very good.
And the staff all from cleaning to the reception was very good and helpful and friendly.

The building and interior decor are amazing. I wished I had more time to just walk around and look at all the carvings, furniture and details. The staff are friendly and helpful. Lovely swimming pool, with towels provided (although they don't tell you that). Ensuite had both bath and shower. Bath robes provided. New bottled water provided each day. Fridge, tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Far enough away from the city centre to be quiet. Beautiful spa facilities (but expensive)
Pool bar plays loud music all day and up to around 11pm, so relaxing by the pool is only relaxing if you like thumping club music playing in the background! If you go for the late breakfast sitting the hot food is cold. After spending a day or two just relaxing at the hotel we discovered that the hotel prices for food and spa facilities are around 10 TIMES more expensive than in the city! We paid $40 for a massage at the hotel and $4 at a massage shop in the city!
Breakfast has good selection but coffee/tea are left on burners and get too strong (stewed). Staff are very friendly and helpful most of the time. We really like having both bath and shower in the ensuite. I like that the hotel is trying to be environmentally conscious (or at least it says it is)
The room was above the pool bar which played loud party music from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm!! It was impossible to relax. I asked the bar staff for quiet calm music one day when there were only a few people around the poolside relaxing and reading. They said yes but kept on playing the same thumping music.
There are signs in the room asking guests to be environmentally conscious, which I'm very happy about but housekeeping staff turn on all the lights and put the air conditioning on full blast!
