Location and ease of parking.
Room was very spacious and the bed extremely comfortable.
The WiFi was not too good especially in the evening.
That is was close to our event. Room had big refrigerator which was great.
No shuttle service to our event and no pool or hot tub.
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel, and we like the location, the parking facilities, and the fact that there is a great little grocery store across the street. The kitchen facilities are great, although it would be nice to have more than one dish and item of cutlery per person, as well as a toaster.
We were upgraded to a King Superior, although we found that the Queen room we had the previous time was more spacious and comfortable. The room we were given this time had only one chair, while the Queen room had a living area with a love seat and coffee table. The mattress was very soft and the pillows very thick for our liking, which meant for uncomfortable sleep. Also, the blackout blinds in our room didn't work, so sunlight was streaming in the window at 5:30 a.m.
Absolutely charming property, love the original details. Excellent location for walking or catching The Hub, etc. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Cafe was delightful!
We returned to The Plaza for three weekends to attend Summerfest. We stayed in Classic Queen rooms which have a vintage feel & charm. All were clean and comfortable. We love the easy walk to the Summerfest grounds & the great café.
A couple of the rooms didn’t have full-length mirrors. One (205) we couldn’t use the hairdryer in the bathroom due to the position of the plug. Since there was no other mirror in the room, it made hair styling difficult.
We were really impressed at the feel. It was old school feel with some of the most comfortable rooms. All of the staff were very nice and helpful. The location was perfect too.
The room was equipped with everything you could need, including a mini kitchen. It was incredibly clean and well-maintained. The chefs’ hours were amazing! They served honey butter chicken sliders, cheese burger sliders, meatballs and a strawberry margarita that was simply to die for.
The wait time durning chefs hours but food and drinks were amazing.
I liked the historical nature of the hotel with the green awning, location, reasonably priced parking in back ($15 per day), friendly staff, great in-house breakfast/lunch cafe, and outdoor ivy-covered patio. I liked having a real key to open the rooms and outside door. Stayed on first floor for accessibility. Don't believe there is an elevator to upper floor.
I wished the bathroom had hooks to hang clothes or toiletry bag. A small wedge or ramp down from the parking lot level to the passageway to building 1&2 would have been nice for suitcases.
Good location, and room was nice and very clean
Room was next to the cafe so was loud from 6:30am
L’emplacement idéal pour découvrir la ville, la place de parking (en supplément), cuisine pratique, laverie disponible.
Le manque d’isolation phonique et thermique (nous avons dû demander un radiateur d’appoint car le chauffage etait hs).
It was new
We were out by the kitchen so at 7am they were banging pots and pans . I don’t need to be waken up at 7am
The location was not bad: 15 min walking from downtown. I thought the hotel was pretty central to the Milwaukee downtown, but it wasn't. Anyways, it wasn't very far from it
The building is old, the rooms are old. The bathroom was very old. The doors make noises. The bed was not comfortable. Old furniture. Even the smell
Comfortable rooms. Walkable to Summerfest. Happy hour drinks!
