External Spa facilities were better than envisaged/photographed.
The main house was finished to very high standard (current renovation works aside).
The grounds were fantastic.
Some of the furniture in the room was a little tired.
The lighting above the bed was very harsh and direct.
An extra surface or side table in the room would have been useful.
Loved our room with the hot tub. Dinner was excellent. The Spa garden was the highlight.
The spa treatments were mediocre. Breakfast was so-so. The bathroom in our room had a sheer blind and people going in and out of the spa had a partial view of it after dark. Also, the hot tub patio could be a little more private. We saw people walking around.
The pool area, garden, grounds and rooms were lovely. Service in the spa was great.
Drinks and food service was slow, unorganised and quite amateur at times. Restaurant food was slightly underwhelming and lacked vegetarian options. Felt more effort to make up for renovation works taking place in indoor pool
Everything! It’s such a beautiful place, and the plants around the hotel are unreal and so beautiful, staff were so nice and caring, we had the luxury hot tub suite and we were absolutely speechless!!

Clean comfortable, friendly staff.
Food was good.
The WiFi gave an issue with ordering drinks outside, and then having to prove we paid for them.
But this was resolved.

The staffs are super friendly and helpful, good with kids too, the renewed garden spa is amazing, definitely worth the money
I loved the spa facilities, the setup, the service and how helpful the staff were.. our time there was magical.. would definitely recommend a stay here
I spent a little extra and booked a room with a hotub on the balcony hoping to enjoy an intimate private dip with my partner.. that wasnt to be the case, the ambiance was ruined over an over by constant dog walkers an ramblers ogling which made us feel very uncomfortable.. i would not recommend this room type unless you want to pay a large amount to give a very public show
A really lovely hotel in beautiful grounds with friendly and helpful staff. The outdoor pool was a beautiful facility.
The indoor pool was being re-furbished during our stay which we weren't aware of when we booked. Nevertheless we were able to take full advantage of the outdoor pool which was heated.
