Comfort, rust, wandelomgeving, zwemmen, fitness en relaxen onder één dak.
Pros:

De kleinschaligheid, het comfort, de faciliteiten, het ontbijt, de wandelomgeving, de menselijke benadering en de mensen zelf.

Cons:

Niets, maar als kleinigheidje misschien het klein half uurtje lopen langs de weg naar Cómpeta. Dan maar met de auto😀

Cons:

Very steep driveway! Would prefer an option for an earlier breakfast. 9.30 was a little late for us.

EEN HEERLIJK KLEIN BERGHOTEL OM TE RELAXEN EN JE HOOFD HELEMAAL LEEG TE MAKEN

Ik verbleef eind oktober in Malaga Hills en was verbaasd over het heerlijke, warme weer. We hebben door de adviezen van eigenaresse Vréneli prachtige bergwandelingen gemaakt. De routes zijn soms spectaculair en de hangbrug op één van de trails is echt een aanrader. In het dorp verraste de kwaliteit van de restaurants ons. Eerlijk gezegd hadden we dat niet verwacht in deze bergdorpjes. Het verwarmde zwembad was best groot en het was voor ons fijn dat er een goede gym was. Wel jammer dat het zwembad ’s avonds werd voorzien van een deken.

NEP REVIEW
We hebben hier geboekt door de goede reviews die we lazen. Ik heb daar vaak meer vertrouwen in dan in de reclameteksten van hotels zelf. Toen ik de reviews met bijna allemaal een 10 of een 9 las, viel me één vreemde, net geplaatste anonieme reactie op met een 1. Er staan zaken beschreven die simpelweg niet kloppen, weet ik nu. Ik kan alleen maar gissen waarom men met deze nep review het kleine hotel wil beschadigen. Echt bizar en ik begrijp niet waarom zowel Booking.com als de eigenaar dit laten staan. Het zet je als lezer toch op een verkeerd been, jammer.

Mwah, eigenlijk niets aan te merken. Gewoon een zeer fijne plek.

Information om hotellet och bilderna är allt fake.
Hotellet ligger långt från Malaga och det tar 2 timmar att åka från hotellet till mig Malaga men på hemsidan står felaktig information om detta.
Frukost var ingen frukost trots att priset för hotellet var högt. Kuddarna i vår rum var smutsiga och när jag påpekade på detta då fick ett aggressivt svar att de är dekorativa och går inte använda de. Det var bara 3 personer på hotellet som gäster. Jag vet inte vem är de skrev så positiva kommentarer på hotellets hemsida. Det var endast 3 träningsmaskiner som var trasiga. Poolen var lite och full av insekter.
Det kändes att hotells ägare har stora apetit att tjäna pengar men inte göra något bra för hotellgästerna.
Tipsar inte om det!

Perfect retreat in a beautiful, peaceful location. Brilliant owners and staff who went above and beyond.
Pros:

Staff were amazing. Very helpful and knowledgeable about booking taxis, sightseeing suggestions, organising and advising on the best walks/hikes.

Cons:

The bathrooms could do with being updated.

Ruhiger, erholsamer und entspannender Urlaub.
Pros:

Die Lage des kleinen aber feinen Hotels ist perfekt, wenn man Ruhe sucht und abschalten möchte. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet. Unser Zimmer (Beyoncé) hatte einen tollen Balkon mit unglaublich schönem Ausblick sowohl Richtung Meer, als auch in die umliegenden Hügel. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und immer mit frischem Obst, Joghurt usw. zubereitet. Die beiden Inhaber des Hotels, Vréneli und Ruud, sind zwei überaus herzliche und liebenswerte Gastgeber, die immer zur Stelle waren, wenn man Fragen hatte. Auch Estrella, Stella und Susann, die guten Seelen des Hauses waren immer zur Stelle mit Restaurant- oder Wandertipps, Tischreservierungen u.v.m. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Málaga Hills Hotel sehr genossen und können das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen. Mietwagen ist allerdings erforderlich!

Exceptional hotel, wonderful hosts and a peaceful location.
Pros:

What a wonderful treat to spend a relaxing 7 nights at Malaga Hills. The hotel is beautifully presented with fabulous facilities. Having only 5 rooms, you are guaranteed a quiet and tranquil stay with stunning mountain views. The gorgeous white village of Cómpeta is a short walk away (25 mins) offering a lovely atmosphere and fabulous restaurants.

Rudd and Vreneli are wonderful and welcoming hosts - nothing is too much trouble ❤️. Estrella and Estella treated us to delicious breakfasts each morning, always with a smile and a friendly chat 🙂. Estrella also recommended, and booked, restaurants for us each evening. Her beach recommendations were spot on too ⛱️
The honesty bar is a fab idea. You can help yourself to wine, beer, spirits, tea and coffee at any time and settle up at the end of your stay. Great when you want to chill and watch the sun go down on the terrace 🌅

Pros:

Perfect location for walks or just relaxing. Breakfast was served at 9am, varied slightly each day. No other food available during the day, however the local village is only a 25min walk or 5min in a car. Some lovely restaurants to choose from.
Using the hotels WhatsApp link allows the owners/staff to organise any reservations with great local knowledge.
Overall a great find, very clean, easy parking and wonderful views.

Brilliant Holiday
Pros:

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Always on hand to help if you need anything.
They all went out of their way to make our honeymoon even more special.

Je voelt je er niet vrij en op gemak door alle camera’s met microfoon
Pros:

Het verblijf is mooi en schoon op een prachtige locatie.

Cons:

Elke ruimte (zwembad, ligbedden, ontbijttafel/bar, bibliotheek) hangen camera’s met bewegingssensor en microfoon. Je voelt je er daarom totaal niet vrij en op je gemak zoals dat wel zou moeten op z’n plek.

Verkeerde bezuinigingen op het ontbijt naar mijn mening. Er is weinig variatie, droge sneetjes brood en weinig tot geen afbakbroodjes.
