Rooms are Dark & Noisy wouldn't recommend
Pros:

Nice historic building and coffee bar below

Cons:

The room was very smelly - it smelt damp and unaired. It was very very dark as there were no windows only huge doors that opened onto a small terrace area directly above the busy street below. To get daylight you had open the doors, if you did this the noise, the heat and fumes from the passing traffic from the narrow street came into the room. The terrace is overlooked by the balcony of bars directly opposite and these bars are open and noisy until about 11pm.
The aircon was noisy as was the fan but it was too hot to sleep or be in the room without them. The ensuite opened directly onto the bedroom with no door, so anyone using the toilet could be seen and heard from the bed. There was no extractor in the bathroom so any toilet smell came into the bedroom.
Breakfast was good but repetitive - normally each day a Sri Lankan breakfast is different, however, this was the same each morning: Dhal, coconut sambal, a fried egg and toast. No juice or fruit was included in the breakfast.

Great little place above a nice cafe. Perfectly located within Galle Fort. The staff were lovely and super helpful.

Perfect little spot inside Galle Fort
Pros:

We wanted to check out Galle Fort, so the location was great. The room was clean and modern, and the balcony was my favorite part. It was perfect for people-watching after a long day of exploring. The people, food, and drinks at Brio Caffeina were awesome too.

Cons:

The bed was hard. I could feel the spring coils.

Brilliant service and responsive manager.
Pros:

Well decorated and clean. The manager and the waitresses were amazing!! So responsive and sweet. Excellent location right next to the pub. Great activities nearby.
