Comfortable with everything I needed without the bells & whistles
Pros:

It was a great stay thank you. The rooms are a little tired but it sort of went with the charm of the place. The pub is lovely, warm & inviting, friendly staff & great food & beer. I'd happily stay here again while walking in the area.

Cons:

No power by the bed. Shower was small. Basin was in the bedroom rather than the bathroom. Tired decor. very heavy room door with yale lock which are a little awkward to open when arriving & leaving with luggage. All minor niggles rather than deal breakers.

Such a beautiful inn this is you won’t be disappointed
Pros:

We only stayed for a night and wow what a lovely place this is the pub and restaurant were lovely, the room was so nice with Mountain View will come back again

Cons:

Breakfast was ok however the bacon was old not freshly cooked. Nor was the tomatoes it appeared a rushed effort.

Ok for one night and don’t expect much from the room.
Pros:

Location - the only hotel in the area. Staff were great and very helpful. Breakfast was nice.

Cons:

Very outdated. Smoke alarm has a bright flashing light in the dark. No stand up shower. Nowhere to hand any towels. No glasses for water in the room.

Cons:

Tiny room. The bathroom sink was in the bedroom as the shower room was so small.
The big fight in the bar and five police vehicles turning up didn't reflect that well on the property.

Spot on location, lovely food and staff are very friendly
Pros:

The location is spot on for Scafell Pike. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. A special mention to Sophie who went over and above for us. She's an absolute diamond. Food was lovely both evening meals and breakfast. Highly recommend this place.

Cons:

Shower was a bit poor but still manageable

Pros:

Great location for the start of the Wasdale Path up Scafell Pike. Plenty of parking. Staff were polite and helpful and the hotel itself was clean and tidy. Would definitely stay again 👌

Cons:

The location is beautiful but make no mistake there is nothing else around. There is a nice pub on site which does great food but that's it, once you have a beer you can't go anywhere. If you want snacks/supplies stop at a shop during the drive there 👍

Another thing and its no biggy.... due to it being a very old building the floorboards and stairs are very creaky. If your a light sleeper like me then you will wake every time another guest moves in the night!
