The perfect place for a complete retreat from the world. Lovely accommodation and lovely beach. The staff were lovely.
Breakfast a bit disappointing particularly the coffee.
amazing place, great staff, friendly owners, i will be back
wifi isn't great if you need to work intensively
Personeel is super aardig. Het is lekker rustig maar toch gezellig
Het is moeilijk te bereiken, kan wel met een gewone auto, maar je moet wel een onverharde weg vol gaten. Daardoor zijn nabijgelegen dorpjes wat moeilijker bereikbaar.
Bahia de la Luna is a small, simple and beautiful hotel on a remoote and quiet beach. The hotel is on the edge of the beach as well as the hillside. The rooms are lovely, simple, comfortable, extremely clean. The food is absolutely delicious, the staff are wonderful.
Incredible location. Isolated but that is exactly the reason for going there in the first place. To connect with the natural beauty. Amazing personalized service from the staff. Irwin is a very attentive manager. Food and drinks were very good.
No cell phone coverage and internet interruptions.
Beautiful swimming and snorkeling beach. Exceptionally friendly and attentive staff. Amazing food. Couldn’t ask for a nicer place to spend a holiday.
A bit of a rough road to get there
We visited Bahia de la Luna for our honeymoon and it was honestly a paradise beach, so private and secluded and stunning. The food at the hotel was incredible, which is great because there’s nowhere else around. We even booked an extra night to stay as we loved it so much!
you are really in the jungle - insects and reptiles are ever present but that doesn’t bother us. The one thing it did lack was hot water - I think because it’s so remote they can only get cold running water, so we had to take cold showers. It’s so hot there that it doesn’t really impact your trip at all though.
Everting is wonderful.
No A/C.
You pay for the accommodation at the end and restaurant/bar bills. Tips are calculated over accommodation and restaurant service. Happy to pay for tips but accommodation should go separated. Doesnt give a good image of the property, they need to change otherwise you leave the property with a bad image, when all has been very nice.
Amazing view, perfect location on a beautiful quiet beach.
perfect getaway.
Nice private beach, rooms close to the water and cleaned well but incredibly hot with tan that didn’t do much. Lots of seats and hammocks in communal areas. Had a couple of good meals.
Felt captive, impossible to get anywhere without a vehicle - down a 3km dirt path that my taxi struggled with. Wasn’t given any info about kayaks, taxis or anything actually. Almost no communication from overworked staff.
There simply were not enough staff. They never offered menus for meals or drinks, apart from one, none spoke any English at all and the same staff doing restaurant and drinks were also reception.
Food options limited and expensive, there was no where else to go. 2 options of starter and main offered for dinner each night, one sitting at 8pm only, and not served till 8.45. Some food was ok, but some was very not good, had to send back main course on second night. Booked a taxi through the hotel, the driver picked up his wife and 2 children from his house on the way to my destination. They joined us as passengers in the car, and I was charged a much too high rate for the journey (he demanded 1000 when I’ve been told the journey is normally 700).
Even though booked on Booking.com payment was at hotel at the end. They tried to charge me 3 nights when I only stayed 2, then they tried to charge me agreed rate from Booking + taxes, when it clearly stated on Booking that rate was inclusive on taxes.
