The location and grounds are exceplional. Views can't be beat! Lots of whale activity at this time of year can be seen from both the room or at the pools. You can't swim in the ocean, but who need to when you've got 4 infinity pools to choose from. Our server Juan Rodriguez at the pool is excellent!

We had a wonderful experience at Grand Solmar this year. We have been coming for 13 years and the service is excellent. We had the privilege of being taken care of by Elianit and Andres for breakfast at La Roca every morning. They took amazing care of us, with big smiles and great conversation. We also had Alfredo and Adan taking care of us all day at the pool cabana and they gave us 5* service the entire time. Grand Solmar is lucky to have these 4 representing their resort. Their genuine efforts are felt throughout the entire experience. We will be back! Kristina

A beautifully appointed resort on the Pacific Ocean next to the arc at Cabo San Lucas. Understated elegance and tastefully quiet. Open your patio doors in the evening and be lulled to sleep by the sound of the surf. The food is exceptional and the service outstanding . Absolutely 10 star rating and I strongly recommend getting the meal plan.

I have been vacationing at the Grand Solmar Lands End for 12 years. Every week seems too short. On this visit Omar Chavez went above and beyond to help improve my visit. I can’t thank him enough…truly a great example of customer service. My next visit can’t come soon enough!!!

We were here for a wedding, and my wife has a gluten allergy, to say they were accommodating is an understatement. And the wedding my friends had was over the top. We had a waitress and waiter for ever table. Our waitress was Gabriela, she was the best, very attentive and made sure we had the best time. The best part is after making sure we had the best night, we came down for breakfast and she was our waitress again. Seriously the nicest person we met on resort. She made sure my wife got a gluten free brownie for the wedding and then to keep the fun going she brought one for her and our friend after breakfast, as they said they were so good. She is the best

We attended Grand Solmar Lands End for a wedding and Gabriella was a phenomenal server at the wedding and breakfast the next morning! Very delicious gluten free brownies at the wedding we ordered them again the next day!

Do yourself a favor if you are considering going, or have booked this hotel. Look somewhere else. There are numerous resort choices available in Cabo - the Grand Solmar Lands End shouldn't be one you consider.

This was my 7th and certainly last visit at this property. We booked this trip through the hotel directly, for 7 nights. 2 days after we got there a family emergency occurred back home and we had to cut the trip short. I informed the front desk of this fact, and told them we'd need to checkout the next day. I confirmed with them that that was possible - that there no penalties that would be applied - and they assured me that all was well. They folks at the front desk were helpful, and sympathetic, and I appreciated their help.

The next day I checked out and there was an additional day's stay on the bill. I pointed this out to them, explained I had confirmed the day prior that I could checkout without penalty, and again explained that we had a death in the family & needed to return immediately. They insisted, however, that I pay the day's penalty. Despite my pleas and explanation as to the circumstances, as well as my pointing out that I had provided a day's notice of my intent to checkout, they wouldn't budge.

They people who I had interacted with to this point were lovely, though the property isn't what it once was. I'm certain that their callus approach to this situation is driven from the top and is based entirely on short-term profit maximization at the expense of long-term success. My issue with their approach wasn't the money - one day's additional charge isn't going to make or break me. Instead it was their attitude to a long-term, loyal customer. It told me that if they were willing to treat one in this manner during a family crisis, they weren't the kind of people I wanted to do business with. I will never return to this property, and strongly encourage you to consider any of the many wonderful locations in Cabo. It's a beautiful place, though Land's End is not where you should experience it.

My family and I had an absolutely beautiful vacation at Grand Solmar Lands End! The resort is stunning. The whales were a delight to behold. What made our stay so comfortable and special was the warm, welcoming service from every single staff member of the resort.

I want to extend a big thank you to Roberto, lead valet who was so kind, professional and helpful to ensure that each time we arrived and left with our car we were well cared for by Roberto and his team! As we were leaving the resort to head for the airport, Roberto was so kind and made sure our luggage made it to our car and that we were all set for our departure. His kindness made us feel like we cannot wait to return for our next stay.

I also want to thank Julio, the manager who helped us with our room assignment upon check in. Julio was so professional and helpful to ensure we had a room assignment that worked well for us!

This was our 11th year and it gets more relaxing every time we go. We spend most of our days by the pool, this year we had the pleasure of getting to know Socorro as our pool attendant. She was just a treat, so attentive without smothering us, taking care of our every need n wish. She had great recommendations and was so friendly. We were excited to see Socorro working at our pool- we knew we’d be well taken care of that day!
Socorro is a real gem!

This was our 12th year to Grand Solmar; it has gone from a five star property to a three star at best. The property’s grounds are still magnificent, and the food was spectacular. Unfortunately, it appears the new management team is focused on reducing the guest experience in favor of profits. Several pieces of furniture in the units were missing, damaged or worn, and we were told replacement items were not available. Several items needed to be repaired, and the maintenance team was very friendly even though not all of the repairs could be completed. The bathroom linen quality has significantly decreased; the towels were scratchy.

A few of the housekeeping staff (Beatruz, Dyana) we encountered were spectacular while others clearly did not want to be working and did a mediocre job on cleaning our unit. Lotions and body wash were replenished only when we asked even though the empty containers were either on the counter or in the trash.

The bell staff continued to be superb; Roberto always asked how he and his team could assist, and the staff was timely with our requests. Our friends inquired and were told the new management now requires the bell staff to wear dress shoes versus more appropriate footwear for the position, which suggests management is confused on the priorities.

To add to the disappointment with the unit, the general manager no-showed to a meeting we requested.

We remain hopeful to see improvements when we next visit Grand Solmar or our property choice may change.

Another great week in Cabo at grand Solmar lands end. We have been coming here six years in a row now and we love it. It's not just the great location and beautiful hotel. It's the people. The employees and the guests here are just nothing that we have experienced anywhere else. We always make friends with people staying here. Our adult kids always have fun making new friends and going into town. We always have fun meeting people at the pools. Also the employees really make you feel welcome. They remember your orders and show that they are happy to be working there. That really makes a difference. Some employees have been working there the entire time we have been coming. Roberto at the valet has been welcoming us since our first visit and he always remembers us. Such a nice guy and a real asset to the hotel. Martin, one of the pool servers as well as so many other others are working hard all day, keeping us well taken care of. All of our meals at the restaurants also have kind servers. Rocio at the spa gave us great massages and also a facial. Would definitely request her again.

Already looking forward to our stay next year

Having visited resorts all over, here is why I would come back to the Solmar Grand Lands End: 1. Great siting, very dramatic with the rock/mountain, beach and Pacific and the resort completely takes advantage of it. 2. Pools are great and well maintained and managed. Seems like there is a spot for everyone. Because the Pacific is rough, this is not a swimming, sitting on the beach experience but this place has it figured out. 3. Plenty of dining options..No need to leave and go into town, but it is easy to do if you wish. Short walk to the marina with many shopping, dining, drinking options. 4. Great staff - gracious, attentive, helpful. Once we found our pool spot and attendant, Martin, he took care of everything and made our stay at the Solmar all the better. 5. Amazing sunrise AND sunset from our pool chair. No need for a sunset cruise just another margarita. 6. Lots of sea creatures right from our pool chair - whale sitings all day, dolphins, seals, sealions, skate. 7. Dining is good, which is sometimes a compromise on beach vacations. Not here with many good options and consistent quality. 8. Great rooms with plenty of space and well appointed with everything needed to cook in the room, entertain, work, whatever.

Lastly, we traveled with 2 teens. I recommend the all inclusive option.

Yes. We would definitely come back to the Solmar Grand Lands End Cabo.

We stay at Grand solmar lands end every year for Christmas and New Year’s with our families. The resort and facilities are amazing. We always love sitting by the Sunset pool from 9 AM till 6 PM. Dorian has been our server here for the past years and always takes the best care of us. I couldn’t imagine spending Christmas and New Year’s with my family anywhere else!

Axel by the Sunset pool was awesome - lots of drink requests and got them all right on! He was funny and good with the kids too.

Axel is wonderful! He provided the best service ever, and he is so handsome. The pool service is excellent and the food is delicious. I appreciate how they are fast and kind.

Our trip at Lands End was a wonderful experience, it is a beautiful property and all the staff was wonderful and accommodating to our large group. Specifically, Darinel waited on us multiple days at the pool he was fabulous, so friendly and helpful to our whole group! We also had a fabulous dining experience with Misael at Laroca!

We have been to Grand solmar Lands End many times. It has always been a very restful and luxurious experience. We most look forward to seeing familiar staff, most notably the bellmen (Roberto, Jairo, Saul, Joel, Rene, Charly, Gil, Daniel), who do an outstanding job - smiles, going above and beyond to help, local recommendations, etc. Note: Where is Manny? He was the best! Huge loss to not have him on staff.
Adan is an amazing poolside concerigre/customer service. We look forward to seeing him and other staff each year.

The resort is gorgeous and location is ideal. It seems the owners/management are cutting some corners: less cleaning staff, no longer doing turn down service or providing waters, furniture in rooms was removed and not replaced (we have the same room each year), and overall feels less classy.
