Pros:

Staff extremely nice, clean room, AC was working perfectly.
In the heart of weligama. Nice places around (restaurants, gym, yoga, surf). Beach in front of the road.

Cons:

If you are a light sleeper or are disturb by the road noise maybe this is not for you. We had ocean views but separated by the road which is quite noisy even during the night. Maybe less when not facing it?

A very comfortable and prime location stay
Pros:

The room was very clean and the decoration felt very welcoming. The restaurant had delicious food and the staff were all incredibly kind, helpful, and provided the best service. Ravinthu (sp?) was especially helpful and provided me amazing local tips to help my stay be smoother.

Cons:

The location is great that it is across the beach but that does mean it can get a bit loud with cars driving by. Honestly it didn’t bother me, but if people are sensitive to that noise, they should be aware before booking.

Pros:

New modern property with great staff. Rooms are well equipped with great attention to detail. Hotel is located right across the street from the beach. And hotel has chairs and umbrellas for the guests. The street is busy and you can hear the noise in the room. Maybe not the best for light sleepers.

Cons:

Loud noise from the street. Not the nicest beach in the area.

Family Paradise and Our Trip Highlight
Pros:

We booked two nights at Stay Ceylon in Weligama, Sri Lanka, but loved it so much that our family (with two teenagers) rearranged our 10-night trip to stay longer! We initially thought we might miss a pool, but the beautiful ocean right across the street, along with the hotel’s immaculate, complimentary sun loungers, meant we didn't miss one at all.

We tried to extend, but Stay Ceylon was fully booked for our second-to-last night. We happily returned for our very last night!

The property is incredibly fresh, clean, and stylishly decorated. The restaurant is great, and we enjoyed lunch there daily. We had breakfast included and it was also very good. Great coffee!!

The hospitality was outstanding. On our check-out day, the staff generously allowed us full use of all facilities and provided showers before our evening flight. These small details made a huge difference.

Stay Ceylon was the highlight of our trip. Highly recommended!

Cons:

The location is right beside a busy road, so anyone seeking a peaceful and quiet environment is advised to look at other options.
