It was clean
To far away from everything. Breakfast was terrible, no toiletries. Internet didn't work half the time. I've stayed at a lot of places on the Island but this was the worst. Save ur money to to a nice one. 6n
We loved
- Rooms are spacious and clean. We had two double beds in the room.
- Family run business, the owners were very kind and made us feel welcome.
- It’s great that the hotel provides food and drink options and the prices were reasonable.
- Chicken adobo was tasty from the restaurant.
- You can rent bikes from across the road.
- The free drinking water and hot water for tea was a nice touch.
- Free breakfast
Areas to improve
- Very strong drain smell, which made going into the bathroom an unpleasant experience.
- No hot water for the showers.
- Lack of sleep. Every morning from 7am - 8am unnecessarily loud music would wake us up. Which wasn’t a great experience.
- There’s a rooster behind the hotel, which was also quite loud throughout the night/morning.
- Limited breakfast options, a fruit platter would have been a great addition.
- The omelette was a bit too oily and salty. Cutting back on the oil would make it much tastier.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, thank you for hosting us. We hope you find the feedback constructive.
Only good thing is the "restaurant" like area in front, good to sit there.
Small, dark, basic room, shower with only cold water, mold on the bathroom ceiling. A bit far to General Luna. Too expensive.
Family owned and they helped us get to and from the hotel and ferry port, even at a very early departure, 5 am. Local breakfast was convenient. They took care of some maintenance issues quickly. (Very stuck unit front door) The Balai Malinowon did have family suites, but they weren't available at the time I we booked. The Hotel is not in the busy, noisy and crowded Tourism Road of General Luna but close enough for convenience and fancier meals and entertainment.
Siargao Island although famous for surf events is new to high volume Tourism and the local resources: streets and side walks, Tourism activities and sites haven't caught up with the demand. But some of them are exceptional and beautiful with many locals getting needed economic opportunities and happy to be Good hosts. Overall a nice family time and experience for ages 8-74.
All minor, No hot shower, but local unheated water in the tropics is not too cold. Cranky AC remote control. Very noisy bathroom door, needs WD 40.
It was a nicely run family hotel on the outskirts of General Luna, Breakfast was as expected with a good range of choices
Lack of TV, but hey it wasn't a deal breaker.
Also the supposedly free airport shuttle in the booking.com wordage is not correct.
The complex and rooms were clean. The internet was good. Beds comfortable,
The hotel is 5km from General Luna. There is no hot water for showers. Advised shuttle service but refused to give when asked. Too many flies in restaurant. Staff sings loud karaoke in restaurant.
The owners and the family were so kind. Good breakfast and It doesn't matter at what time at the day you order, they will do it with a smile.
Even in the last day, they offered to take us to Dapa. If we come, we will come for sure
The hosts were such wonderful people. Couldn’t do enough.
