Kar's Hotel

Kar's Otel is an amazing boutique hotel I can highly recommend. The beautiful restoration of the buildings and the view on the Kars castel are fabulous. The hotel is on the main road of the old city area and restaurants and shops are just out the front steps, while being quiet in the rooms or inside the courtyard.
The rooms are extremely tasteful with very comfy beds making the hotel an oasis of tranquility. The manager Mr. Mehmet was wonderful and gave us many tips on what to see in and away from Kars (for example the salt cave in Tuzluca). He also was very supportive establishing contact with our 'extended' family and helping with interpreting which we highly appreciated.

Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, gemütliches,kleines Hotel,gediegen. Man wird sofort sehr freundlich empfangen mit einer angenehmen Desinfektion der Hände. Waren sehr bemüht alle. Und liegt so gemütlich im Zentrum

Location was very good for us. It's a former Russian district, very central and close toplaces of interest. The building was a former Russian house, which means high ceilings and high interior doors and our room had a beautiful view of the Kars fortress from the balcony

Das historische, ansprechend renovierte Objekt steht im Stadtzentrum von Kars, die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten sind fußläufig in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Die Einrichtung wirkt alt, aber gepflegt, das Bett war durchaus bequem.

Nice house and well maintained rooms with good flair. Great location.

There are a few hotels located in the historical Russian mansions, but this one is definitely the best. It's truly a boutique hotel, thoroughly restoring and preserving the epoch's atmosphere. All the staff members are very hospitable, helpful, and proud of their workplace and their city with its rich exciting history. But for a rather short holiday, we'd have loved to stay longer, this place does feel like home far from home.

The staff was perfect, the manager even went with us to a small excursion through the city. The location of the hotel is great, in the old city center, 5 min to the fortress. Kars itself is an astonishingly lively and beautiful city!

Excellent Hotel!

Extremely nice boutique hotel, a 10-minute walk from the old Kars Castle. I enjoyed my time there until the last minute: a very comfy bed, a big and nice room, and a hot shower. The room was equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a Nespresso machine with complimentary capsules, water, and snacks available in the fridge for an additional fee.
Additionally, I must compliment the breakfast - it was exquisite. The cheese plate featured a great selection of Kars cheese, eggs were served on your choice of omelet or menemen, and there were some other starters, tea, and coffee included.
The personnel in the hotel are extremely helpful, and I would like to thank them for their support and recommendations.

Et veldrevet lite hotel. Moderniset og likevel beholdt stilen fra forrige århundre. Deilig frokost i lun frokostsal. Litt upraktisk med dårlige engelskkunnskaper.

Otel eski bir Rus konağı. 8 odalı butik bir otel. Tarihi gezilecek yerlere ve restoran ve kafelere yürüme mesafesinde. Kahvaltıyı kaçta yapmak istiyorsanız söylüyorsunuz size özel o saatte serpme kahvaltı hazırlıyorlar. Yediğimiz her şey çok lezzetliydi. Trende rötar olması nedeniyle gece 1.30 gibi otele vardık ve sorunsuz yerleştik. Her şey için teşekkür ediyoruz. Kars'ı mutlaka gezilecek yerler listenize ekleyin. Görülmesi gereken bir şehir.
