A treat to stay somewhere worthy of this kind of holiday.
Pros:

Very well organised. Staff incredibly helpful and polite without being overbearing. The buildings and grounds were immaculate. Being able to park right outside room was a bonus.

Cons:

The food could have been tastier and although the breakfast looked plentiful it wasn’t the best we’ve had.

Nous venions pour un anniversaire.
Ils avaient préparé plein de petites attentions.
Un grand merci à Jennys du restaurant italien. Elle fut adorable et nous a même emmené des fruits locaux que nous ne connaissions pas.

The hotel was lovely
Pros:

Location and view of the Arenal volcano was lovely. The room was clean and very nice. The hotel personnel were friendly.

Cons:

It’s a long walk from my room to the reception and dining room.

I booked my stay through Booking.com. However several weeks before the start of my trip, I received an email directly from Hotel Arenal Springs that I needed to go to their website to pay for my reservation. I thought it was a scam, so I called Booking.com to confirm. Booking.com verified that this request was legit. I shouldn’t have had to go through this process. In all my previous bookings through Booking.com, I had provided my credit card number to Booking.com for payment. This new process opens consumers up to potential fraud.

Pros:

I liked the layout, rooms and hot springs. Great breakfast. Good meals

Cons:

The pillows were too thick and dense so I had to sleep without a pillow. Also, I wish the water around the bars was warmer. The weather was unusually cool and we got cold if we went to the bar

Die Lage ist sehr schön, die Thermalquellen direkt auf dem Hotelgelände sind fantastisch, das Personal unglaublich freundlich

Cons:

Das Essen war sehr gut aber überteuert, kaum Ablagefläche im Zimmer, nur ein sehr schmaler Schrank. Man hätte die ( nicht funktionsfähigen) Kerzen auf ein Regal stellen können, dann hätte man immer noch Deko aber zusätzlich Ablagefläche. Was aber am schlimmsten war und eigentlich unzumutbar, war der permanente Lärm der Baustelle, da ein neues Restaurant gebaut wird, am Pool entspannen war praktisch unmöglich. Ich würde dieses Hotel auf keinen Fall während dieser Bauphase buchen, leider wurden wir auch nicht über diese Einschränkung im Vorfeld informiert .

Wonderful all round experience in every aspect including an amazing view of Arenal volcano.
Pros:

Lovely property and pools. Welcome cool cloth and drink are a nice touch. All staff are very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel went above and beyond decorating our room and area where we dined for my partners 60th birthday. On very little notice I may add. Wonderful hospitality! We had hot stone massages in the spa area that were wonderful! Afterwards we were served a delicious tea and able to relax. All spa staff were lovely and professional as well. Our dinner was exceptional! Compliments to all in the dining room and the chefs! Best meal we have had in Costa Rica. Delicious and extremely good quality of food . The brunch buffet in the morning was also excellent with many options

Construction at the time of our stay was most unfortunate as I feel it took away from the spa resort feel I was looking forward to

Incredible breakfast and grounds. Great value!
Pros:

Our room was large and beautiful. The spa pools were wonderful to come home to soak in and not crowded. The breakfast was AMAZING! The best I have ever had!! We looked forward to it each of our 4 days. We had a car and it was easy to get to all our activities but we were very glad we stayed away from the city center.

Restaurant was very expensive and waitress gave poor food advice. We could have easily shared a meal but was made clear to us that was not possible. Wine prices ridiculous. Breakfast however excellent
