Friends visiting for walks and sightseeing.
Pros:

The welcome was lovely. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly.
The room was a nice and big, with tea and coffee making facilities and a lovely view of the river.
The food was amazing, dinner was very reasonbly priced for the quality. It was very tasty, and the restaurant and bar staff were very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast had everything you could want, and although it was a buffet everything was hot.
I am looking forward to returning.

Cons:

The bath / shower was quite high to get in, as I am not too steady on my feet I didn't even attempt it, but my friend who is very fit commented how difficult it was to get out of the shower.
For future visits I will request an easy access room, although just a couple of handles on the walls would have made it better.
The steam train statiion to Windermere Lake is only a short walk away, and the bus stop was near.

We had a 4 night stay for my mums 80th Birthday . The staff helped us to make my mums day special
Pros:

The breakfast was lovely , and the staff were so friendly .
Nothing was too much trouble , you only had to ask .
Would defintley recommend a stay at Whitewater .
The views around the hotel are beautiful .

Cons:

There was nothing we didnt like .
The Hotel decor and furnishings could do with been spruced up a little .
The staff and scenery made up for that discrepency though .

All hotel staff were super friendly, helpful and happy. Rooms were clean and comfortable. A good place to enjoy a brief stay and is was well situated.

Cons:

Great staff but the hotel had dated fixtures and fittings. Could be fabulous with an update.

An excellent stay with great breakfast and walks.
Pros:

Excellent location, helpful staff, clean, free parking. The breakfast was excellent with high quality, fresh food. Some of the best bacon I have ever eaten. Beautiful local walks, these should be promoted more by the hotel than they are. They provided us with written route local walks, (these need to be updated as they are no longer 100% accurate as apparently they were written some time ago) but we feel this would improve the customer experience a lot as the walks are of various levels and all that we did were beautiful. I think we will go back there if the prices are good.

Cons:

The rooms are a bit dated, no fridge in fact there is wasted storage where a fridge used to be and they have just boarded it up and painted it in line with the colour scheme. No kettle or tea making provided in the room
