Ok but in bad need of decor update
Pros:

Reasonable value for money. Good location. Friendly staff.

Cons:

Decor badly in need of updating. It felt like we were staying in the 1990s.

Nice hotel, excellent staff, just needs a little more attention to details
Pros:

Staff were very friendly. Hotel was very well located. Pool and facilities were good. One room very spacious. Breakfast was good. Good information about hotel and area.

Cons:

One room was quite small and located through an area where building renovation work was being carried out (and hotel was not busy). Breakfast area for guests accompanied by dogs was not laid out for breakfast - had to set up ourselves

Lovely staff a credit
Pros:

Friends chicken a bit pink but my lamb was lush. Staff couldn’t do enough to put it right. No hesitation to offer complimentary drink and sweet. It may have just been where there was a vien said friends son who is a chef. No questions asked. Apologies from chef. Whole restaurant staff couldn’t have been more apologetic and helpful. Thanks chef for lovely lamb!

Pros:

Lovely location, great breakfast, good selection and help yourself. The staff on reception and at breakfast were lovely. The bed was comfortable and the curtains provided a very high level of darkness. Hardly heard anyone from our room. Great breakfast times 8 till 9.45 to allow a lie in and great check out time of 11am

Cons:

The pool area was very very cold, as a result only visited it once all weekend. The changing area was very open, I much prefer more private cubicles for dressing, only 1 that I can recall. The receptionist that my husband spoke to before his treatment wasn't very friendly and in his words "could tell she didn't like her job" but the treatment its self was fine.
The bathroom within our room was clean but it had a crack in the bath panel and the grout on the tiles could do with a freshen up. The bed also moved away from the headboard easily. Also only one biscuit by the kettle in our double room.
