El hotel es muy acogedor y está a un paso de un precioso templo y de la maravilla de lago de Hangzhou. El personal, amabilísimo y muy profesional. Las habitaciones, amplias. La familiar hará las delicias especialmente de las niñas. Muy recomendable. El desayuno, abundante. Si se quiere visitar las plantaciones de té cercanas, excursión muy recomendable, no dejéis de preguntar en recepción.

Sincere thanks to the team for their outstanding hospitality. The service was impeccable, and the front desk staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.
The facilities are superb, with many thoughtful touches that exceeded expectations — including foot-soaking tubs with herbal packs and steam eye masks, which were a delightful surprise.
The hotel also provides a light, wholesome supper in the evening, as well as bread and milk from 5:00–7:00 a.m. for guests departing early — a small but incredibly thoughtful gesture that left a lasting impression.
In addition, the service arranged through the hotel with Hu Jie was excellent. Her fees were fair, and she was kind, knowledgeable, and wonderfully engaging.

The hotel was clean, and the stay was wonderful.
We love all the services and facilities including free light super, free laundry service and lots of toiletries are provided. The breakfast was great and value for money. The bed is firm but not hard. The staff were very nice and helpful. We had a great experience and will highly recommend everyone to stay when you visit West Lake. It's just a walking distance to local attractions.
The only thing that can be improved is that the shower head was a bit weak and we had one room that always had smoking smells.

The road leading to the hotel is too narrow when cars are parked on one side of the road.
Emplacement agréable dans une ruelle collinaire près du lac, jolie entrée avec verre d'accueil, calme, propreté, femmes de ménage et dame à l'accueil du restaurant très aimables, place suffisante pour les affaires de toilette dans la salle d'eau, toilettes japonaises, rideaux qui se ferment automatiquement, petits snacks et eau gratuits, nettoyage de vêtements gratuit, chambre vaste et prise en compte de la requête pour une chambre calme, éloignée de l'ascenseur et en bout de couloir. La jeune réceptionniste avec des lunettes est la plus aimable et également la plus compétente.
1. Impossible d'accéder aux escaliers alors que je suis claustrophobe et qu'il y uniquement trois étages àdescendre. Cette non possibilité d'utiliser l'ascenseur est dangereuse en cas d'incendie, par exemple.
2. Pbs de compréhension, tout est long avec le traducteur et souvent peu clair. On perd du temps, d'autant que le receptionniste( le garcon) s'impatiente vite et m'a laissée en plan plusieurs fois en pleine conversation pour s'occuper d'autres clients. Et, quand il daigne revenir, il faut tout répéter. Cest exaspérant.. Heureusement que la jeune réceptionniste à lunettes est bien aimable, plus patiente et plus professionnelle.

Cleanliness can be improved. Bedroom slipper from previous guest under the bed. Provide a tea strainer pls as tea provider are in loose tea form.
This hotel locates in a walking distance from West Lake. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. The room is new and clean and the bed is firm and comfortable. The toilet has a bidet and it’s separated from shower.
The staffs are very friendly and helpful, especially Qian-Qian. I will definitely choose Nostalgia hotels for other cities and next trips.
This hotel and the room was really cool with many things included such as the minifridge! The kid's room was really nice with a little camping tent, and an led solar system. It's right next to Yue Fei's tomb and also the path to many gardens, so the location is really great.
The only thing is that the lights in the kids room and the main room were connected so our kid liked turning everyone's light on and off. Also it's typical that the kid will want to go to bed sooner, so it was a bit inconvenient. The main room did have some extra lights like for the bathroom mirror.
Enjoyed having the choice between soft or hard pillow. Breakfast is Chinese style.
Because the ground service outside is cobbled, I was woken each morning at 4.30am with noise from bins/something heavy being pushed several times . Dumplings are only with pork.
Plus points :
1.Location;
2. Room facilities including fridge for my medication, weighing scales for baggage weight;
3. Free good & fast laundry service,
4. Good sachet coffee in room and machine at Lounge.
Negative points:
1. Frustrating communication with Recepton staff because they spoke only Mandarin and we had to resort to translation apps on their snart phones. Resulted in many misunderstanding & miscommunication
2. No initiative to communicate info of the easy access to the hill offering panoramic view of the lWest Lake & the surrounding temples, etc
3. No healthy breakfast cafes nearby
See above negative points. Addressing those points would make this "Those were the Days" translated name of the Hotel Nostslgia. Would be useful to give Pinyin spelling of the Hotel name.
Nice environment. Close to a memorial and a hill overlooking the lake.
There was supposed to be a balcony. Indeed there was one but very small with no table or chairs, overlooking some sort of something I would call a garbage deposit. If it wasn’t one, it certainly looked like one.
FANTASTIC stay. Favourite one for our 2 week China trip.
Staff are super helpful and friendly. Can get food delivered to hotel and robot brings it to your door. Rooms are beautiful, clean and tastefully designed. Free laundry service that is finished by hotel staff if you are out so you do not have to wait around. Most beautiful location (taxi can get there and turn around in front - continue past the barricade area). Beautiful, lush forest and walks at your doorstep. Didi always services this area, close to tea fields, food options, lake walks - cannot recommend it enough so I'm going to keep going! Air purifier/humidifier in room, not needed in this area in my opinion but is a bonus. Snacks and drinks topped up free daily. Breakfast option is AMAZING. Have it even if you aren't hungry, its so good. This place was sublime and such good value for money - book it. If you value nature, beautiful forests and food, this is the place to be.
We found the fun side of it - but being the bottom floor people could see us in our room if the curtains were open or on our balcony as its near a popular walking area. As fair travellers from Australia, we were quite the spectacle! People would stop to smile, wave, say hello, chat, point, peer - we loved it and found it entertaining, but if you value privacy I'd recommend asking for a higher floor which the staff would certainly accommodate :)
