Great location, needs updating.
Pros:

Nice location. Close to centre. Lovely staff. WiFi and smart TV. Good refreshments.

Cons:

The bed was so uncomfortable as it was sagging in the middle, for a 3 night stay I was glad to get in my own bed. When lifting the mattress to have a look at where the divan base was broken The bed was so dirty, so cleaning is a little issue here. King size duvet in a super king cover so there was lots of excess material hanging over.
The room was stuffy and poorly lit but to open the window or curtain wasn't ideal as it opened straight onto the bar terrace so there was no privacy. There was a fan in the room but it didn't work. The curtain pole was hanging off at one side and held to the wall by a spoon, so the decor really needs updating. The pictures need updating on the site as they are very misleading. Nothing luxury or boutique about this hotel I'm afraid..

You get what you pay for
Pros:

Staff were really friendly. Distance from Sheffield quick links via train. Well heated room good value for money for what we paid for.

Cons:

The furnishings were not to our taste but fitting theme fitting for valentines. Regrettably there was mould on the clingfilm which covered the orange juice at breakfast which freaked us out.

Staff were great ,location was perfect and great value for money
Pros:

The location was excellent as it’s in the centre but nicely tucked away as if you weren’t
As it’s a boutique hotel it’s a cosy atmosphere

Cons:

On a personal level the bed was a little small but I am 6ft 4ins so as I say it’s a personal thing

Ideal if you need to be in the town.
Pros:

It was in the middle of the town. Parking was good. Breakfast very good.

Cons:

Room was very hot even though it had a fan.
The walk in shower was very dirty it needed a good scrub. The bin in the bathroom was thick with dust and the shower shelf was very dusty. The toilet roll holder was rusty.
The bed was very uncomfortable so we put the quilt under the sheet to make it a little more comfortable.

Pros:

I got the room last minute at quite a discounted rate. All of my opinions are largely are largely reflected in what the room should has cost on that night. The room was large and comfortable, the hotel is tucked away, but still in a nice location

Cons:

This really isn't a boutique hotel, it was very nice as a budget stay over but no more. I would have been very disappointed if I'd paid the full rate for a night here. Check-in was a bit chaotic, I wasn't sure if I even had a room. As the receptionist was confused and said someone was already in my room!
The rooms are large clean, but very plain. My room effectively had no windows, which should be told to new before you booked the room.In my opinion. There were some kind of safety green l d in the ceiling light that lit the room and could not be turned off along with the tiny skylight that had no means of shutting out the light meant.I couldn't have the room as dark as I liked.
Parking was extra, breakfast was extra (I always seem to book a room with breakfast included. That never transpires when you get to the hotel!)

Mixed stay.
Pros:

Modern decor.

Cons:

Blinds do not cover the whole window so as soon as the sun came up I was awake.
The bed has a dip in the middle making it very uncomfortable to sleep in.
The radiator didn't work at all so the room was cold.
When we arrived the chap said we hadn't paid for breakfast which our booking.com app said was included and even though he said we could have breakfast he kept saying we hadn't booked it which made me feel like he was accusing us of trying to cheat them.
They locked the door earlier than we returned and nobody had told us this so to enter the building we had to go down the side of the building where there were no lights and lots of steps so this we very dangerous.
