Room didn't have locks, property was shared with other guests

This stay was a major disappointment. The listing clearly implied we were booking a private apartment, but upon arrival, we learned it was actually a shared three-bedroom unit. We were told that two other guests would be arriving later that evening to occupy the other rooms. Although they never showed up and we spent the one night alone, the apartment was meant to be shared with strangers—something that was not disclosed in the listing.

The apartment itself was also dirty and filled with the owner’s personal belongings, making it feel more like someone’s private home than a professionally managed rental.

When we raised our concerns and suggested cancelling the remaining nights, the host responded with rudeness, outright lies, and no willingness to find a solution. We contacted Booking.com, who fully supported our case and confirmed the listing was misleading. They tried to reach the host multiple times by phone and email, but she never responded.

Based on what we’ve seen in other listings managed by the same host—where negative reviews have been met with sarcastic and dismissive replies—we expect a similar reaction here. We strongly encourage others to avoid this property. The listing is deceptive, communication is poor, and the host takes no accountability.

The room next to us had some other guests who were sometimes noisy when we were trying to sleep. The washer/dryer and bathroom are not necessarily available when you need them, as they are shared by other guests and the resident. The bed sheets had what looked like black sand in them. Our room did not have a lock, and one day when we got back it was clear someone had come in and taken some sheets out of one of the drawers. Only one of the beds had a bedside table. One bed was firm, but the other was very soft. There were no bedside lamps in the room. The hallway had a horrible chemical smell the whole time we were there.

The apartment is actually rented out to multiple people at the same time, making the place less comfortable and more difficult to enjoy the common areas, especially since the room was a bit small for two people.
