Quirky and Quaint building with character. Nice sitting areas inside and outside.
Very little food left when we went to breakfast and they don’t re-stock.
Great location, reasonable prices
Took some time to get the water hot
Breakfast was basic. Rooms were very small. The shower drain in one room was plugged.
It was very peaceful. I really enjoyed being able to walk through the property, and it was very peaceful.
Nothing against the hotel, but meals were difficult. I went to a local place to eat, by myself, and I had to drive to another town because there was no room for even one person. That can be avoided by eating at a time when it's not prime time. It was difficult to find a place to get to the beach.
Lovely retreat center 20 minutes away from Fayette, about half an hour from Marquette. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Very expensive hotel for only 38 rooms with lots of locations games, reading or small group conversations. Homemade pasties on site were excellent.
To get in using code at front door, make sure to make quick staccato type punches otherwise it won’t open
Nicole was very helpful in making me comfortable with room temperature . Other employees helped me with getting oriented to the place and assisted me in leaving. The price was right.
I was there alone. The code to enter building and room needed 2 free hands to operate.
Ok
Location
Close to Fayetteville
Dirty carpets
Need vanity table in bathroom for toiletries
It was very clean and a unique place to stay. The furnishings were old, and the vibe was like staying in a convent or boarding school. Great value.
Could have been updated- shower tile was ancient. Decor was not very appealing.
It was very quiet, the grounds gardens were wonderful, with a chance of seeing wildlife. We saw deer, skunks and woodpeckers! We were on our honeymoon and the staff we saw all congratulated us!
The food options weren't great, mainly because we didn't have access to a full kitchen. We spent most of our time away from the hotel and ended up having to eat out more than I would have liked to.
There also wasn't a map of their trail systems, which would have been very helpful for making sure we weren't wandering onto someone else's property.
Well furnished and very quiet. Nice and restful but a great place for day trips in the UP.
Nothing
The people were very friendly. It was close to Fayette State Park, where our family was staying. It is an old retreat that has been turned into a public retreat. We enjoyed our stay.
Nothing. It was exactly as we expected!
