Noise from the swimming pool...
Staff are excellent, very friendly and eager to please. Swimming facilities are good...
Bathrooms are too small and have no water pressure. The WiFi is a nightmare especially for businessman who need network 24 hours. Keeps disconnecting and is valid only for 24 hours. It gets very inconvenient when it expires at night or whilst you are doing something important. Going down to the Reception to request new WiFi login details is a headache!

The reason we chose Southpick was the location. There are no other hotels in Sta Rosa for online booking near our relatives. Breakfast was pretty good and on time most days. Although I don't remember it ever being particularly warm.
The staff was kind and no fault to them, most negatives would be directed at the way it is managed.
The shower did have hot water, but not the greatest pressure.
So much to put here. First, Southpick has a nice pool, and there are lessons there so be prepared for lots of kids and such making noise. There is a gym there, but not included with your stay. Price was 150 pesos and appeared to not be open in the mornings. Each night of our stay, there was some issue. Some reoccuring, some new, just as you resolved another. The emergency light in our room would not turn off which lit up our room. On the 2nd night of that, staff finally put a towel over the light. It was better, but still lit up the room some. Was told maintenance would be called.....it never was fixed our entire stay and if you stay in Deluxe 1, you most likely will have the same towel there. For some reason, and maybe the hotel part of Southpick was an afterthought, but all the rooms are above a night club. Friday and Saturday, don't expect to get any sleep until 5 am when the club closes. It is loud and they don't seem to care. One night the hotel turned on the balcony lights, which you can not turn off, so another night of having the room lit up. For some reason, the cavity above Deluxe 1 and 2 are connected so if one room has its lights one, guess what, you have light in your rooom..another night of having the room lit up.... oh, and the AC is rather loud in the room but did work which is a plus.
