For the price we expected more. The staff made our stay somewhat bearable.

Staff were so nice. They did all they could

Cons:

The bed was horrible. Just Horrible. It was the mattress and pillows. So soft you felt as if you were drowning. Sheets were very nice though. Also the Heat was horrible. Extremely hot when on. Then freezing. Off and on all night. The room was so dark you couldn’t see. Room was very small. We were able to sleep only a couple of hours. We left as soon as we could at 6 am. Completely exhausted.

Perfect, thoughtful stay in a great location.
Pros:

Honestly, everything about the stay from the moment I arrived was perfect. I loved all the small, thoughtful touches at the Lodge. The Field & Stream branding, the way they've made every room to meet their theme was excellent. When you check-in, they give you a postcard to write any note and post it anywhere in the world.

The fitness centre is on par with the best hotel gyms. They have a hot tub as well and heated pool (didn't use).

The free drip coffee is actually flavourful.

Breakfast was solid in the morning.

Cons:

No real coffee in the room!!! Lighting was terrible in the room. The restaurant staff was terrible and took forever. Room was never cleaned in our 3 day stay when we were asked what day we wanted it cleaned.

Pros:

Great place to stay with family! The decor is like a lodge, I know it’s a hotel but it feels like a lodge, they did a great job with all the little details in the rooms and the common areas. The outdoor area is great for couples the canoe fire pits are a great touch on chilly nights, I’ll be back for sure.

The entire experience was lovely and met all of my needs! Sarah at the front desk was especially spectacular and gave me all the info on the amenities of the property. They have meticulously touched every inch of this place and it shows. I love the themes, patterns, and attention to design of rooms they chose. The courtyard was especially cool.

I look forward to staying here in the winter!
