There is no Air conditioners in the ground floor. With no elevator, the elderly people cannot climb the stairs.
The temporary metal staircase is very steep.

Good for a late arrival if leaving early.
Pros:

Close to airport. Aircon. Staff carried bags upstairs. Quiet hotel. Pool was ok, but the grounds were very rough.

Cons:

The room was not clean - shoes left in there was evidence of this. The bars on the doors made us feel like it was an unsafe place. Nothing in the area, so only good as a place to rest before moving on. Only a flimsy lock on the door - we took our valuables when we went for dinner.

Hazardous place--injury waiting to happen
Pros:

It was close to the airport.

Cons:

This place is a hazard. My husband had an accident and sustained cuts and scrapes from a 6-ft hole by the pool that was barely covered by a very thin sheet of metal with the sharp side sticking out. The full windows by the hallways are clear glass without any markings to let you know there's a glass divider between spaces. The stairs leading to the 2nd floor are not stable and are very narrow. This place has too many hazards for guests. The owner/manager handled my husband's injury very poorly and was minimizing his injury. We were very shaken. He was very defensive, saying, "it's not a 5-star hotel." We left this property to stay at a safer, friendlier place.

Brilliant place near the airport
Pros:

Despite my very late arrival, the owner of Lanka Bangla Inn personally welcomed me, ensuring a smooth check-in and taking the time to explain everything. Her kindness went beyond expectations—she even cooked a homemade dinner, and it was as good as your mama’s favorite food, filled with warmth and care. I truly wish I had the chance to stay longer in this lovely place, just 10 minutes from the airport, and spend more time with the wonderful lady owner and her gorgeous, fluffy white dog. A truly heartwarming experience!

It was an amazing experience to stay here. Highly recommended

It’s very beautiful and well maintained the cultural touch was amazing and very close to the Airport and hospitality of host is beyond words.
Very caring staff and the guy Anand was very nice and special thanks to the owner mr. Weera he is very humble and nice.

Pros:

The hotel is near Katunayake airport with easy access. Rooms are clean and spacious, staff is friendly and willing to help at any time. It was really worth the money.
