Great location, great access to lots of areas in the cupboards and Oxford from here. We loved the aesthetic and the design we sat in the reception bar having cocktails which were fantastic. We love how the diner is separate but still so close everything was just great. I love the nods to an American motel and diner, but in a British way, it’s so well done.
We found the room quite cold and couldn’t turn off the air conditioning, but I think this is more of an us problem. We also couldn’t get the GHD to work that come with the room. The bar could also do with some more seating as we came down around 6 pm and there were no seats.
Locatie is goed te bereiken; ligt langs de grote weg naar Oxford of de Cotswalds, maar daar heb je eigenlijk geen last van. Het is de perfecte uitvalsbasis voor een bezoekje aan beide. Er zijn meer dan voldoende parkeerplekken en laadpalen (zowel snelladers als gewone (langzame)). Er ligt een tankstation naast waar je iets te snacken en te drinken kan halen (al is dit ook gewoon verkrijbaar in het hotel/diner).
De kamers waren schoon, grote bedden, tafel en stoelen aanwezig. De badkamer was modern en ruim. Op de gang is een koud en kokend water kraan aanwezig. Je kunt in het hotel ook onbeperkt koffie en thee krijgen.
Het personeel in zowel het hotel als de diner waren erg vriendelijk, met name Benji en Pippa. Het eten in de diner is prima, je kunt hier de hele dag door terecht voor ontbijt, lunch en avondeten. Het ontbijt varieert van full English tot wafels. Lunchen na het ontbijt was niet altijd nodig, zo veel was het. Ook het avondeten is gevarieerd, voor ieder wat wils. De diner is ook zeer geschikt om naartoe te gaan met kinderen.
Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!
Het langzame laden is een vaste prijs van 15 pond per sessie, ongeacht hoe veel je laadt. Voor ons wat dit prima (we hadden de accu bijna leeg gereden), maar dit stond nergens vermeld.
What a wonderful experience & what an innovative and fresh way of doing "Hotel". The decor & furnishings had a real Wow! factor, with the reception doubling as a relaxed sitting and working area with free coffee available 24/7. The staff throughout were exemplary. The attached Diner provided great fun & great food. The Shower was simply the best, as was the bed & pillows. Didn't hear anything all night, and in fact extended for an extra night because we did not want to leave. We used it as a base for walking the Thames Path which is nearby, and we will be back soon. Cannot recommend highly enough!
