Dark and noisy
Pros:

A good location about a 20 minute walk from the old town with good restaurants and coffee shops very close. Also close to the rice fields and An Bang Beach.

Cons:

The room was very dark but the worst thing was the deafening noise from the large groups of Asian tourists. Earplugs are an absolute necessity.
Breakfast was geared up to the Asian tourist with plenty of dishes but unfortunately none labelled as to their contents. The western selection was poor.

Pros:

The room was fine, nice ensuite, comfortable bed. Breakfast was ok.

Cons:

There is little or no service. The website says there is a bar and restaurant but there is no bar and the restaurant is only open for breakfast. So I used the two beers in the minibar but in four days it was not replenished.
The location is not ideal. There are a few basic restaurants nearby but to get into HoiAn old town is a taxi each way

Pros:

Without a doubt, the highlight of this hotel was the staff. The people who work there are very friendly and welcoming, and you leave with the feeling of being very well treated. That was clearly the strongest point. The second was the comfort of the bed and the room itself, which was very acceptable overall, so I would say I had a positive experience.

Cons:

To mention a few areas for improvement, which I think is important, the only downside for me was that it is a bit far from the Old Town, and there are a few small things that could be improved, but nothing major. Overall, there is nothing particularly negative to point out.

Definitely the worst experience possible.
Pros:

Nice property, everything was clean

Cons:

Bed is hard. The owner of the hotel gave us the wrong information about her private van from the hotel which led to multiples problems during our day. The receptionist was kind but that was it. Worst experience ever. A lot of miscommunication even though we were talking the same language. Really disappointing, especially for a 4 stars hotel.

Pros:

I had a fantastic stay at Silkian Boutique Hotel & Spa in Hoi An. I originally booked 5–6 nights but ended up staying for 9. The staff are truly wonderful, they see you, take the time to help with anything you might need, and happily share great tips for both popular tourist activities and excellent local tailors. Housekeeping is available daily if you wish, and the AC in the room worked perfectly, which was especially appreciated in the August heat.

The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the towels were of great quality. I also loved the soft kimonos and flip flops provided in the room – such a thoughtful touch. The bathroom amenities were excellent, with lovely body soap, a combined shampoo and conditioner that worked perfectly, and even a razor. I didn’t need to buy any extra toiletries during my stay. Water was replenished every day, and the small fridge in the room was very convenient.

Breakfast was included, and while I mostly chose to try new places outside, the hotel’s breakfast was perfectly fine. They cook eggs to your liking, which I really appreciated.

There were always sunbeds available by the pool, and this was the only pool in Hoi An that truly cooled me down in the heat, perfect water temperature. I also tried a massage at their spa, which was lovely. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the Old Town and right next to the rice fields. You can borrow a bike for free, making it easy to get around, and Grab is also a convenient option.

I came here alone to relax and recharge, and I absolutely achieved that. Thank you for a wonderful stay, next time I’m in Hoi An, I will definitely be staying here again.

A must if you’re in Hoi An.
Pros:

Very pretty colonial style, great breakfast and super attentive staff. It’s within walking distance of the beach although using the free bicycles is recommended. Night and food markets are close and so are tons of ATMs.
