Property owner canceled my booking without prior intimation and allotted the room to someone else.

I called the property owner multiple times and when he finally picked up the phone I informed him that we were about to reach Kasol. He very coolly stated that he had given the room to some else as the other person paid him in advance while in my case bookings.com did not give me option to pay in advance as I was told by booking.com to settle the payment at the property directly. When I told him that what what he did was not right, he mentioned that I should talk to booking.com to discuss the issue and get help from them. The owner told me to find another property on my own or sleep in the car itself. This act by the property owner was quite horrific for me. I literally had to struggle a lot to find another property and shed lot more money than budgeted originally. Moreover, my family also suffered due such unprofessional and unethical behavior by the property owner.

This was the worst experience of my life.

I do not recommend this property to anyone.
