The staff were very kind and helpful. The location is also good.
Unfortunately, the value for money is not good at all. It is expensive and run-down, and the price paid is not in line with what you get. It feels quite depressing to stay in the room. When I arrived, there was a strong bleach/disinfectant smell in the room. The Wi-Fi is unusable.
The breakfast is below expectations, especially for anyone who follows a healthy lifestyle: there are no vegetables at all, and no plant-based milk. The bread options are very sugary.
Soundproofing is basically non-existent: you can clearly hear people talking in the next room.
Our stay was during the slow season (October, 2025) so the hotel was not fully booked. The two front desk attendants we interacted with were both helpful and eager to serve. Consummate professionals. They spoke English flawlessly, which was enormously helpful. The hotel itself is just perfect. Beautiful wood accents, lots of visibility to the picturesque beach. Isabela was our favorite island that we stayed at in the Galapagos, probably largely because of this hotel. Loved the furniture on the beach in the sun and under shade. Comfortable. Loved the hammock. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the A/C as well. 100% would stay again.
The location was amazing. And a stunning view from the room.
The overall quality of service at the hotel did not meet expectations. The cocktail bar was unavailable for most of our stay, and when it was open, the cocktail options were extremely limited — only Cuba Libre was available, with no other choices offered. This was disappointing given the hotel’s positioning and pricing.
The building and renovation quality appeared poor, and the cleanliness and maintenance of the breakfast area were below standard. Tables were not promptly cleared or prepared, and the best seating areas were often left dirty for extended periods.
Given the price, I expected a noticeably higher level of service. If the hotel is under new ownership or management, there is significant room for improvement. I would strongly recommend that management visit established high-end hotels to better understand the level of service guests expect at this price point.
As a benchmark in Ecuador, I recommend Hotel Otavalo in Otavalo as an example of how quality service and maintenance can be done well.

Wir haben zuerst ohne Booking direkt vor Ort gebucht und bezahlt für ein Meerblick Zimmer. Als wir später das Zimmer beziehen wollten, war es nicht mehr verfügbar. Nach langem Hin und Her bekamen wir für 1 Nacht die Suite und danach ein Standard Zimmer in der Dependance zu einem besseren Preis. Die 3. Nacht hätten wir nochmals ein Upgrade bekommen können, wir wollten aber nicht noch einmal das Zimmer wechseln. Der Mitarbeiter war sehr bemüht und zuvorkommend

The location is superb- on the edge of the beach with its own little bay. It’s quiet and within a 10 minute walk to the pier, also the town and restaurant area in the other direction. The outdoor sitting area is comfortable and there are lots of places to relax. Because of its location and amenities I’d say it’s the best hotel choice in town. We had a beachfront room, but the units in the back looked good too, with their own balconies.
Breakfast isn’t served until 7 am - we would have liked to have had a kettle/coffeemaker in the room so we could enjoy tea/coffee from our balcony. There was a small fridge in our room.
Amazing hotel right on the beach. The staff are so helpful. The room was so big and comfortable with everything you need. It was pure luxury. Breakfast was delicious. It was an exceptional experience. Thank you to the amazing staff.

Pagamos una habitación con vista al mar, y nos dieron una habitación frente al mar pero que parecía hotel de 2 estrellas, muy básica y honestamente si hubiera sabido que esa era la habitación que me asignaron, no hubiera ido. El precio es muy alto para esa habitación, y la verdad me sentí impotente al verme en esta situacion, de haber pagado y haber esperado algo justo entre calidad y precio, y no fue asi.

Nada, carísimo. Pésimas las instalaciones. Antiguo, las camas de muy mala calidad. Mi parece no pudo dormir en toda la noche. El desayuno salva. Pero el precio no es correlativo con la calidad del servicio entregado.
Todas sus instalaciones y el personal, me cobraron hasta un café cuando me iba yendo. Que me ofrecieron como cortesía el día que llegué. Realmente insólito. No es un hotel de alto estándar como se presentan.
