Dieses Hotel hat wirklich 5 Sterne verdient. Durch die Hanglage hat man einen grandiosen Blick auf die Landschaft und das Meer. Die Bungalows sind gepflegt, liebevoll und im Detail ausgestattet und mit der Hängematte und der Liege auf der Terrasse hatten wir das Gefühl ein kleines Stück vom Paradies zu bewohnen. Das Serviceteam ist großartig. Wir hatten jederzeit einen Ansprechpartner, der uns mit Rat und Tat zu Seite stand, alles war sehr sauber und das Essen köstlich. Hier wird mit Herzblut gearbeitet. Wir hatten wundervolle Tage in der Tranquilo Lodge und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Dankeschön.

Our recent stay at Tranquilo Lodge was beyond anything we could have imagined! From the moment we were greeted on the beach and delivered to this unique and stunning property, we knew we had made the right choice. The views from this oasis are unparalleled. The tree beside our villa was visited daily by toucans, and the trees near the pool became a gathering spot for the scarlet macaws, displaying their beautiful colors.

What truly sets Tranquilo Lodge apart, however, is the warmth and generosity of the owners, Sebastien and Kristoff. From the very first moment, they made us feel like long-lost friends, and their deep love for the area is reflected in every detail of the lodge. They are some of the kindest, most genuine people you’ll meet, and their hospitality made our experience even more special. The rest of the staff is equally incredible — always attentive, welcoming, and eager to ensure every need is met.

I’ve been home for just one day, and I can’t stop thinking about how relaxing and peaceful this place was. From the first breath of fresh air on my patio every morning to the last one at the end of each day, I felt an incredible sense of peace and tranquility. The food here is beyond extraordinary — better than any five-star restaurant I’ve experienced in the world’s most luxurious cities. Each meal was a masterpiece, bursting with fresh, local flavors and exquisite presentation. And the cocktails… each one was a work of art, served in a glass that perfectly complemented its vibrant colors.

Whether relaxing by one of the pools or exploring the surrounding nature, every moment here was pure magic. If you are looking for a stay that is, without a doubt, the best Costa Rica has to offer, I cannot recommend it enough. A truly unique and heavenly experience is surely guaranteed.

Christophe & Sebastian & the entire staff (Christina!!!) were incredible! Helpful in every way possible. The hotel is remote, gorgeous, clean, intimate, & the food was 5 star. I'm vegan & they went above & beyond to make sure I had ample food options, & it was all delicious!

Views, tours, hospitality, amazing food and scenery- there was nothing not to love. Christophe and Sebastian are fabulous and we loved every moment of our stay!

Superb location, caring staff, delicious and original food 3 times a day. Beautiful tours, we did the Corcovado and horse riding by the rios to a cascade, magic! The view from the lodge is grandiose.

Food was great; Location was great and Oro the Dog was the extra host bringing you carefully and safely to the beach. The French Hosts were geat!

Breakfast was good fresh bread, fruits and eggs different preparations with bacon and ham. Assorted cheese and meats. Yogurts and fresh coffee. Fresh squeezed morning juices.

My husband and I loved everything about Tranquilo Lodge. The palapas were large and beautifully furnished with outdoor showers, a large deck with seating area/hammock, plenty of space/storage and a fridge. The bed was comfortable and the A/C worked perfectly. The views of Drake Bay from the palapa, as well as the 2 pools and restaurant were spectacular. The grounds were beautiful with a peaceful and private layout. The owners/hosts Sebastian and Christophe were amazingly friendly, helpful, and just very fun and enjoyable to be around. They have taken their extensive knowledge and passion for service and cuisine and created a slice of heaven in Drake Bay...It is next level fabulous! They were always around and made sure we were spoiled and wanted for nothing. The other staff Christina and Michael were also lovely humans who made our stay very special. Lastly, the food! Christophe (former executive chef and successful catering business owner) and the resort chef have created an elevated and delicious menu using only the freshest local ingredients. The owners are from France so you will be treated to French cheeses, foie gras and wines as well. We were so sad to leave this place and hope to return someday!
